Shape confident communicators and critical thinkers.</strong></p> <p>Living Waters Lutheran College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated <strong>Secondary English Teacher</strong> to join our Secondary School team. We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about English, values strong relationships, and is committed to helping students achieve their personal best.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>Reporting to the <strong>Head of English</strong>, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Teach English across Years 7-12.&nbsp;</li> <li>Deliver engaging and effective learning programs that support student achievement and growth.</li> <li>Teach senior secondary English courses, including ATAR, General and Foundation pathways as allocated.&nbsp;</li> <li>Create inclusive and supportive classroom environments that foster student engagement and success.&nbsp;</li> <li>Develop engaging learning experiences that build literacy, communication and critical thinking skills.&nbsp;</li> <li>Use student achievement data to inform teaching and drive improved outcomes.&nbsp;</li> <li>Participate in curriculum development, moderation and continuous improvement initiatives within the English Learning Area.&nbsp;</li> <li>Support student wellbeing through positive relationships and restorative practices.&nbsp;</li> <li>Contribute to the broader life of the College through events, co-curricular activities and professional learning opportunities.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:</p> <ul> <li>A passion for English education and student learning.</li> <li>The ability to inspire students to become confident readers, writers and communicators.</li> <li>Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills.</li> <li>A commitment to inclusive and differentiated teaching practices.</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>A collaborative approach to working within a professional team.</li> <li>A commitment to supporting the Christian ethos and values of the College.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Education or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.&nbsp;</li> <li>Current Teacher Registration with the Teachers Registration Board of Western Australia.&nbsp;</li> <li>Current Working with Children Check.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to teach English in a secondary school setting.&nbsp;</li> <li>Commitment to child safeguarding and student wellbeing.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desirable</strong></p> <ul> <li>A personal Christian faith.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience teaching senior secondary English courses.</li> <li>Knowledge of SCSA assessment, moderation and reporting requirements.</li> <li>Experience teaching ATAR, General and/or Foundation English.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Apply Now- </strong><i>Applications Close</i><strong> </strong><i>20th September 2026</i></p> <p>If you are a passionate English educator who is committed to helping students develop a lifelong appreciation for language, literature and learning, we would love to hear from you.</p> <p><i>Applications will be assessed as received, and the College reserves the right to appoint a suitable candidate prior to the closing date.</i></p> <p><strong>Living Waters Lutheran College is committed to providing a child-safe environment.
