<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p>
<p>We are seeking a passionate and accomplished educational leader to join our Executive Leadership Team as Head of Teaching & Learning, commencing January 2027.</p>
<p>As a member of the College's Executive Leadership Team, you will champion excellence in teaching and learning, lead curriculum development and innovation, and help shape the future direction of the Secondary School. Partnering closely with the Principal and Executive team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the College's vision while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and outstanding educational outcomes.</p>
<p><strong>Duties</strong></p>
<p>As the Head of Teaching and Learning you will be responsible for:</p>
<ul>
<li>Strategic oversight and implementation of teaching and learning pedagogy, initiatives and quality programs in the Secondary School.</li>
<li>Whole school strategy: align teaching and learning programs across Secondary and Primary.</li>
<li>The College timetable.</li>
<li>Improving student outcomes across the Secondary School.</li>
<li>Developing a contemporary and evidence-based culture of teaching and learning across the Secondary School.</li>
<li>The development and recruitment of Secondary School academic staff. </li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Skills and experience required</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A Bachelor's degree in Education with a specialisation in a related field.</li>
<li>A Masters degree would be strongly considered but is not essential.</li>
<li>Current teacher registration with the Queensland College of Teachers. </li>
<li>Significant experience in leadership would be highly desirable.</li>
<li>Outstanding teaching skills, underpinned by a strong understanding of contemporary teaching and learning practices.</li>
<li>Demonstrate a strong foundation and an in-depth understanding of the Australian curriculum, QCAA and QCAT.</li>
<li>High level of interpersonal, leadership and collaborative skills and the ability to communicate at all levels and stakeholders within the College environment, the general public and external agencies with the possession of tact, diplomacy and discretion.</li>
<li>Demonstrated engagement in ongoing professional development that enhances teaching skills, keeping up-to-date with curriculum changes, and staying informed about best practices in education through participation in workshops, conferences, and professional learning communities that contribute to continuous growth as an educator.</li>
