Established by the Marist Brothers the College maintains a strong Marist charism, tradition and affiliation with Marist Ministries. The successful applicants will support the needs of diverse learners in a mainstream setting.</p> <p>The role of the Diverse Learning Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.</li> <li>Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.</li> <li>Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.</li> <li>Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in KLA(s).</li> <li>Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.</li> <li>Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.</li> </ul> <p>DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul> <li>Experience adjusting class work and assessment activities for students with disabilities.</li> <li>Experience leading meetings with parents and carers to support student learning.</li> <li>Have Special education qualification and/or experience teaching in a specialised setting or a commitment to gaining qualifications in Special Education.</li> <li>Have experience in developing effective relationships with parents/carers and external agencies in order to develop personalised learning plans for students with disability.&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrate an understanding of the Disability Standards for Education (DSE) 2005 and the processes integral to the annual Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD).</li> </ul> <p>GENERAL CAPABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Well-developed interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Well-developed oral and written communication skills.</li> <li>Strong organisational skills.</li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li> </ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area (s).</li> <li>Have Special education qualification and/or experience teaching in a specialised setting or a commitment to gaining qualifications in Special Education.</li> <li>Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.</li> <li>The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.</li> </ul> <p>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p> <p>This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.</p> <p>POSITION APPLICATION&nbsp;</p> <p>Applicants are to complete an online application which asks to briefly address the essential criteria (equivalent to 2-3 pages) and submit a short CV (2-3 pages).</p> <p><strong>Closing Date: 4 October 2026 at 11.55pm</strong></p>
