<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p>
<p>St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and reliable <strong>Tuckshop Assistant</strong> to join our <strong>Food Services</strong> team. Working across the Senior School Café and Upper Primary Tuckshop, you will assist with food preparation, customer service, catering support, and daily operations to ensure an efficient and high-quality service. This permanent term-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a team environment, values excellent customer service, and takes pride in maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards. </p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Prepare and assemble food and beverages in accordance with menu requirements and food safety standards.</li>
<li>Provide friendly and efficient customer service to students, staff, and visitors.</li>
<li>Process cash, EFTPOS, and online orders accurately through the point-of-sale system.</li>
<li>Assist with stock receipting, rotation, replenishment, and inventory control activities.</li>
<li>Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across food preparation, service, and dining areas.</li>
<li>Support the Food Services team during busy service periods while adhering to College policies and procedures.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What You Bring</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Demonstrated knowledge of, or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of, safe food handling practices, food hygiene requirements, and the use of PPE.</li>
<li>Previous experience in a food service, catering, hospitality, tuckshop, café, or similar customer-facing food environment (preferred).</li>
<li>Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety requirements and safe food handling procedures.</li>
<li>Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with students, staff, and visitors.</li>
<li>Proven interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.</li>
<li>Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise tasks during busy service periods.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to use initiative and maintain professional presentation standards.</li>
<li>Physical capacity to undertake the requirements of the role, including manual handling tasks.</li>
<li>Current Blue Card (or the ability to obtain and maintain one) and the right to work in Australia.</li>
<li>Commitment to the College's Christian ethos and values.</li>
