<p><strong>The Role</strong></p>
<p>As <strong>Lead: Wellbeing</strong>, you will provide executive operational leadership for student wellbeing across Catholic Schools Broken Bay.</p>
<p>This pivotal leadership role is responsible for the operational performance, governance, quality assurance and continuous improvement of wellbeing services across our school system. Working closely with principals, senior leaders and specialist teams, you will ensure high-quality, evidence-informed, compliant and system-aligned wellbeing support that enables students to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.</p>
<p>Leading a team of Wellbeing Partners and CSBB Counsellors, you will translate strategic priorities into effective operational practice, oversee complex case governance and provide system leadership across student wellbeing, mental health, safeguarding, risk management and counselling services.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Provide executive operational leadership across the Wellbeing portfolio, ensuring consistent, high-quality and compliant support to schools.</li>
<li>Lead, coach and develop a team of Wellbeing Partners and CSBB Counsellors to deliver effective services and support.</li>
<li>Oversee operational case governance, including complex student matters, escalation processes, documentation standards and legislative compliance.</li>
<li>Ensure implementation of system frameworks, policies, processes and tools across wellbeing practice.</li>
<li>Monitor service performance metrics including responsiveness, case timelines, documentation quality and principal experience.</li>
<li>Analyse wellbeing trends, emerging risks and service demands to inform system planning and workforce capability.</li>
<li>Partner with principals and school leaders to provide guidance and assurance in complex wellbeing matters.</li>
<li>Contribute to strategic initiatives that strengthen student wellbeing, engagement, inclusion and support across the system.</li>
<li>Maintain strong governance, safeguarding and risk management practices across all areas of responsibility.</li>
<li>Collaborate with system leaders and shared governance groups to align operational delivery with organisational priorities and reform initiatives.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>In Addition, as Lead: Wellbeing You Will</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Provide visible leadership and expert guidance to principals managing complex student wellbeing concerns.</li>
<li>Oversee clinical practice governance for CSBB Counsellors, ensuring adherence to professional, ethical and safeguarding standards.</li>
<li>Lead quality assurance and governance oversight of external counselling providers engaged by CSBB.</li>
<li>Ensure counselling services operate within appropriate supervision, governance and risk management frameworks.</li>
<li>Drive service excellence through continuous improvement, performance monitoring and evidence-informed practice.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain effective partnerships with internal stakeholders, schools and external service providers.</li>
<li>Support system-wide decision-making through data analysis, risk identification and operational insights.</li>
<li>Contribute to the ongoing development of policies, procedures, frameworks and resources that strengthen wellbeing services across CSBB.</li>
<li>Champion a culture of collaboration, accountability and professional excellence throughout the wellbeing portfolio.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>About You</strong></p>
<p>You are an experienced and highly credible wellbeing leader with a strong background in education, psychology, social work, counselling or student support services. You combine strategic thinking with operational excellence and are passionate about improving outcomes for students, families and schools.</p>
<p>You will bring:</p>
<ul>
<li>Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).</li>
<li>Demonstrated leadership experience within student wellbeing, mental health, counselling, education or related human services environments.</li>
<li>Expertise in operational leadership, governance, service delivery and performance management.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of safeguarding, legislative obligations, professional standards and risk management frameworks.</li>
<li>Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex student wellbeing matters.</li>
<li>Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence diverse stakeholders.</li>
<li>Exceptional communication, leadership and decision-making skills.</li>
<li>Strong capability in service improvement, quality assurance and organisational change.</li>
<li>Experience interpreting data and trends to inform strategic planning and operational decision-making.</li>
