With world-class wilderness, outdoor adventure opportunities and a relaxed pace of life at your doorstep, Rosebery offers an exceptional quality of life.</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>As one of our Bus Drivers, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of students to and from school and on occasional school-related outings.</p> <p>You will play a valuable role in supporting student wellbeing by ensuring every journey is safe, respectful and enjoyable.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Safely operate the school bus in accordance with road laws and safety regulations.</li> <li>Conduct daily vehicle safety and maintenance checks.</li> <li>Ensure students travel in a safe, orderly and respectful environment.</li> <li>Follow designated routes and schedules.</li> <li>Maintain accurate records and report any incidents or concerns.</li> <li>Build positive relationships with students, families and school staff.</li> <li>Represent St Joseph's Catholic School in a professional and friendly manner.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>We are looking for experienced drivers who are:</p> <ul> <li>Safe and responsible drivers with an excellent driving record</li> <li>Reliable, punctual and highly organised</li> <li>Friendly, approachable and able to build rapport with students and families</li> <li>Calm, patient and confident when working with children</li> <li>Committed to maintaining a safe and positive environment</li> <li>Able to communicate effectively and professionally</li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Valid Working with Vulnerable People Registration</li> <li>Current and satisfactory National Police Criminal History Check (NPCHC)</li> <li>Current drivers license</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desirable</strong></p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of manual handling practices</li> <li>Current Tasmanian Light Rigid vehicle driver’s license</li> </ul> <p>Catholic Education Tasmania and St Joseph’s Catholic School are committed to supporting the rights of children and young people and providing a safe and supportive environment for them.
