<p><strong>The Role</strong></p>
<p>As a Senior School HSIE Teacher, you will bring energy, passion, and expertise to the classroom, delivering engaging curriculum sequences that integrate a Christian worldview and foster critical thinking.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Teach HSIE across Stages 4–6, catering to diverse learning needs through effective differentiation.</li>
<li>Embed research-based strategies and ICT to expand curriculum learning opportunities.</li>
<li>Contribute actively to the pastoral care program and vibrant co-curricular life of the College (e.g., sports, lunchtime clubs, or music ensembles).</li>
<li>Maintain safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments aligned with NESA standards and Child Safe practices.</li>
<li>Engage collaboratively with parents, carers, and the broader school community.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Selection Criteria</strong></p>
<p>To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:</p>
<ol>
<li>A recognized teaching degree (e.g., Bachelor of Education or undergraduate degree plus post-graduate teaching qualifications) and eligibility for NESA accreditation.</li>
<li><strong>HSIE Teaching Expertise:</strong>
<ul>
<li><strong>Essential:</strong> Demonstrated experience teaching Stage 6 (specifically Geography Studies and/or Economics) and Stages 4 & 5 HSIE.</li>
<li><strong>Desirable:</strong> stage 6 Geography and/or Business Studies</li>
</ul></li>
<li>An active personal Christian faith, commitment to the ethos of independent Anglican education, and active involvement in a local church.</li>
<li> Proven ability to differentiate instruction, integrate literacy/numeracy strategies, and create inclusive, safe learning environments.</li>
<li><strong>Collaborative Approach:</strong> Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a track record of fostering collaborative professional relationships.</li>
<li><strong>Compliance:</strong> A current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance.</li>

<p><strong>Position Details</strong></p>

<li><strong>Type:</strong> Full-Time, Permanent</li>
<li><strong>Start Date:</strong> Term one 2027</li>
<li><strong>Hours:</strong> Standard school hours (8:15 am – 3:45 pm), plus weekly staff (Tuesdays until 5:00 pm), and co-curricular commitments.</li>
<li><strong>Responsible To:</strong> Head of Humanities </li>
