Currently seeking an experienced, innovative and enthusiastic Design and Technology teacher to join our secondary teaching team.

It offers a diverse program and opportunities for leadership and service.</p> <p>The successful applicant will be an integral member of the College’s TAS Department, contributing to the broader faculty and supporting learning across the department.</p> <p>This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative College community and contribute to a creative and engaging learning environment.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning programs and contributing positively to the broader TAS Department.</p> <p>Key responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Planning and delivering engaging lessons in accordance with NESA curriculum requirements.</li> <li>Teaching and supporting other subject areas within the TAS Department, where appropriate to qualifications and experience.</li> <li>Supporting students to develop their creative, practical and critical thinking skills.</li> <li>Assessing and reporting on student learning and progress.</li> <li>Maintaining a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.</li> <li>Working collaboratively with members of the TAS Department and College leadership.</li> <li>Contributing to faculty programs, projects, exhibitions and other College activities.</li> <li>Contributing to the broader life of the College.</li> <li>Supporting the values, ethos and traditions of St Spyridon College.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>To be successful in this role, you will have:</p> <ul> <li>Relevant tertiary teaching qualifications.</li> <li>Current NESA accreditation.</li> <li>Current NSW Working with Children Check.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience and/or capability in teaching Design and Technology in a secondary school environment.</li> <li>The ability and willingness to contribute across the broader TAS Department.</li> <li>Experience or qualifications in additional TAS subject areas will be highly regarded.</li> <li>Strong classroom management and communication skills.</li> <li>A commitment to providing engaging and high-quality learning experiences.</li> <li>A collaborative and professional approach to working with colleagues, students and families.</li> <li>A willingness to support and respect the Greek Orthodox ethos and values of the College.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Success Criteria:</strong></p> <p>The successful applicant will:</p> <ul> <li>Be willing to use student data effectively to inform teaching practice</li> <li>Be able to contribute to the strong academic culture of the school environment</li> <li>Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs</li> <li>Use relevant technology to support instruction</li> <li>Observe and evaluate student's performance and development</li> <li>Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress</li> <li>The successful candidate will possess the following core competencies:</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Motivation, dedication and enthusiasm for learning</li> <li>Positivity and a high level of emotional intelligence</li> <li>High expectations for the learning and achievements of students</li> <li>Professional presentation and conduct</li> <li>A strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively</li> <li>Willingness to actively support the Orthodox ethos of the school</li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential Requirements</strong></p> <p>Applicants must hold or be eligible to obtain:</p> <ul> <li>NESA Accreditation.</li> <li>NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC).</li> <li>Current National Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain).</li> <li>Current First Aid and CPR qualifications (desirable).</li> <li>Full Australian working rights.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Why Join St Spyridon College?</strong></p> <p>At St Spyridon College, our staff are valued members of a supportive and collaborative community committed to educational excellence.
