<p>St Joseph’s Catholic School Rosebery</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>St Joseph's is a co-educational Catholic Primary School situated in the picturesque mining town of Rosebery, in the heart of Tasmania's rugged West Coast.</p> <p>As one of two Catholic schools on the West Coast, St Joseph's serves as a strong Catholic presence in the West Coast Parish, catering to children from Zeehan, Rosebery and Tullah.</p> <p><strong>Utility Officer</strong></p> <p>Part-time, Ongoing</p> <p>0.38 FTE (14.44 hours per week)</p> <p>Days per week: Negotiable</p> <p>The Utility Officer is responsible for coordinating and performing general maintenance, groundskeeping, and occasional construction and cleaning tasks to maintain the school’s facilities. The role also involves grounds keeping and occasional bus driving. You will work collaboratively, contributing to a school culture grounded in Catholic values and the mission of Catholic Education Tasmania.</p> <p>This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, skilled individual who enjoys a varied workload and thrives in a supportive, community-focused environment.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Perform general building, grounds, and vehicle maintenance</li> <li>Maintain and care for school vehicles, including cleaning and minor servicing</li> <li>Set up for events and support emergency drills such as lockdowns and evacuations</li> <li>Maintain hand tools, power tools, and manage chemical usage safely</li> <li>Ensure grounds and facilities are clean, orderly, and safe</li> <li>Contribute to the school’s maintenance and safety planning and documentation</li> <li>Actively participate in team collaboration and professional development</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>You are a reliable and self-motivated professional with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You demonstrate integrity, initiative, and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming school environment.
