An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced, faith-filled and inspiring educational leader
to join St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Warragul as Deputy Principal – Learning
Adjustment.
<p>St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School is located in Warragul, with a current enrolment of<br>
356 students. The School was officially opened in 1882 and is one of two primary schools in<br>
St Joseph’s Parish. In 2004, St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School opened on its current site in<br>
Burke Street which it shares with Marist-Sion College.</p>

Warragul has grown from a semi-rural residential town to form part of a major growth<br>
corridor, 100 kilometres south-east of Melbourne’s CBD in the West Gippsland region, on the<br>
lands of the Gunaikurnai People. Warragul forms part of a larger urban area that includes the<br>
nearby town of Drouin and is accessible from the M1 freeway. St Joseph’s Catholic Primary<br>
School is located close to Warragul’s CBD with many retail and food stores together as well<br>
as other large retail outlets.</p>

The School, as part of St Joseph’s Parish Warragul, provides access to Catholic education to<br>
families situated in the central and eastern areas of the Parish and boasts vibrant, modern<br>
classrooms that are well appointed and resourced.</p>
<p><br>
St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School is seeking a faith-filled, inspirational and dynamic Deputy<br>
Principal – Learning Adjustment to work in partnership with our staff, student and parent<br>
community. The role of the Primary Deputy Principal is to support the Principal and<br>
Leadership Team in managing the planning, delivery, evaluation and improvement of the<br>
education of all students at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School. The role involves working<br>
closely with the principal to enact the strategic directions of Diocese of Sale Catholic<br>
Education Limited (DOSCEL) and support the effective deployment of resources in line with<br>
the following key priorities:</p>
<ul>
<li>Enlivening faith education and Catholic identity</li>
<li>Improved learning outcomes for all students</li>
<li>Strengthening and development of expert teacher practice, leadership<br>
formation and capacity building</li>
<li>Ongoing commitment to effective and supportive governance.</li>
</ul>
<p>We are seeking a suitably qualified applicant with a proven record of leadership, who aspires<br>
to principalship. The Deputy Principal position will initially be offered on a fixed-term basis<br>
for three years, with opportunity for renewal. The successful applicant will be offered<br>
ongoing employment at the School as a teacher.</p>
