We are seeking a passionate and motivated Japanese teacher to join our College community on a permanent, full-time basis commencing as soon as possible.

<p>The College has a rich history and culture which promotes and supports the learning of Japanese language and engagement with Japanese culture. We have an active sister school arrangement with Hokusetsu Sanda Senior Highschool, in the Hyogo prefecture of Japan, which has been in place for over 30 years. The College sends two students to Japan every year for a six month exchange and we host students from Hokusetsu on a reciprocal basis. As a result, the learning of Japanese language is highly valued in the College community and a number of students choose St Columba’s because of the opportunities to learn Japanese.</p>
<p>Historically, we have run Japanese Elective Classes in Years 9 and 10, and through to the Higher School Certificate and this has continued this year. The teaching staff, who are members of the Japanese faculty, are highly experienced and bring great expertise to the College. This position would allow a passionate teacher of Japanese to join a thriving and flourishing faculty where they will be supported and able to thrive in their professional life.</p>
