You will, however, need a genuine interest in Steiner education and in working with adolescents in a holistic and developmentally responsive way.</p> <p><strong>What You Will Bring to the Role</strong></p> <p>Ideally, you will have experience in learning support, inclusive education or supporting students with diverse learning needs.</p> <p>You will understand how to work alongside classroom teachers, helping them develop whole-class strategies, practical adjustments, scaffolding and differentiated approaches that support a broad range of learners.</p> <p>You may also bring experience implementing or managing literacy, numeracy or other targeted intervention programs.</p> <p>You may already be working in an inclusive education role, or you may be an experienced classroom teacher ready to move into learning support leadership.</p> <p>You may be well suited to the position if you have:</p> <ul> <li>a strong understanding of effective whole-class teaching strategies</li> <li>experience differentiating learning and making curriculum adjustments</li> <li>worked collaboratively with Teachers and Education Assistants</li> <li>supported students individually or in small intervention groups</li> <li>Experience or an interest in developing your knowledge of learning support programs, disability funding and inclusive education processes.</li> </ul> <p>You do not need to meet every desirable criterion to apply. Professional learning and support will be available in areas where you may have less experience.</p> <p><strong>What You Will Do</strong></p> <p>You will lead learning support and inclusive education across the high school.</p> <p>Working closely with teachers, Education Assistants, students and families, you will:</p> <ul> <li>support teachers to develop effective whole-class strategies for diverse learners</li> <li>provide practical advice about scaffolding, differentiation, classroom adjustments and accessible curriculum delivery</li> <li>help teachers identify emerging learning needs and respond proactively</li> <li>ensure Education Assistants have clear priorities, strategies and professional guidance</li> <li>develop, implement and manage targeted literacy, numeracy and other learning intervention programs</li> <li>monitor student progress and adjust intervention programs in response to evidence and individual need</li> <li>work directly with students, individually or in small groups, where appropriate</li> <li>develop and review Curriculum Adjustment Plans and Individual Education Plans</li> <li>ensure agreed learning adjustments are clearly communicated and implemented consistently</li> <li>coordinate disability funding applications and associated documentation</li> <li>meet with parents and carers to discuss student needs, plans, progress and strategies</li> <li>build relationships with feeder primary schools to support successful transitions into high school</li> <li>develop transition plans for incoming students and support them as they settle into the School</li> <li>maintain accurate and appropriate inclusive education records</li> <li>support senior students requiring adjustments to participate meaningfully in the Class 12 Independent Research Project</li> <li>contribute to staff meetings, professional learning and the continued development of inclusive practice across the College.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why This Work respecting their growing independence, dignity and connection to their peers.</p> <p>You will help ensure that students who learn differently are supported within the life of the classroom, rather than only at its margins.</p> <p>By strengthening teachers’ whole-class practice, coordinating purposeful intervention, and leading Education Assistants effectively, you will help more students access learning, develop confidence and remain connected to their class.</p> <p>In a small high school, you will have the opportunity to notice students early, understand their needs in context and contribute directly to their progress.</p> <p><strong>Essential Requirements</strong></p> <p>You will need:</p> <ul> <li>a recognised teaching qualification</li> <li>current Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia registration</li> <li>a current Working with Children Check</li> <li>experience teaching or supporting high school students</li> <li>a strong understanding of adolescent learners</li> <li>experience supporting students with learning differences, disabilities or additional learning needs</li> <li>the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, Education Assistants,
