We are seeking passionate Christian educators for both a full-time Head of TAS/Teacher role and a substantial part-time TAS Teacher position. This is an exciting opportunity to teach within a dynamic Christ-centred learning community, with leadership opportunities available for suitably experienced applicants.

<ul> <li>Permanent Positions</li> <li>Commencing 22 January 2027</li> </ul> <p><strong>Curious, Courageous, Compassionate.</strong></p> <p>Illawarra Christian School is a dynamic Christ-centred learning community where students are nurtured to be curious, courageous and compassionate lifelong learners who transform the communities in which they live.</p> <p>We are seeking passionate and committed educators to join our Technology and Applied Studies (TAS) faculty from January 2027.</p> <p>Opportunities exist for:</p> <ul> <li>A <strong>full-time</strong> (1.0 FTE) <strong>Head of TAS</strong>/Teacher position; and</li> <li>A substantial <strong>part-time</strong> <strong>TAS teaching</strong> position (approximately 0.6-0.7 FTE).</li> </ul> <p>Applications are invited from teachers with expertise in one or more of the following areas:</p> <ul> <li>Textiles and Design</li> <li>Design and Technology</li> <li>Timber Technology/Junior Technology</li> </ul> <p>We anticipate appointments across both full-time and part-time capacities, with final staffing arrangements determined by the strengths and experience of the successful applicants.</p> <ul> <li>The successful applicants will:</li> <li>Be committed Christians actively involved in a local church.</li> <li>Demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning within the TAS curriculum.</li> <li>Deliver engaging and effective learning experiences.</li> <li>Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment.</li> <li>Care deeply about student wellbeing and growth.</li> <li>Work collaboratively with colleagues and families.</li> <li>Hold appropriate teaching qualifications and NESA accreditation.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Leadership Opportunity - Head of Technology and Applied Studies (TAS)</strong></p> <p>This is a rare opportunity for a suitably experienced educator to lead a well-established and highly valued TAS faculty, building on its strong foundation of quality teaching, innovation and student engagement.</p> <p>The successful Head of TAS will provide leadership of the faculty, support curriculum development and innovation, mentor staff, and contribute to the strategic direction of teaching and learning across the school.</p> <p>The Head of TAS may be appointed from either a Textiles and Design or Design and Technology/Timber Technology background.&nbsp; Final teaching allocations will be determined by the strengths and experience of the successful applicants.</p> <p>Applicants wishing to be considered for the Head of TAS role should indicate this in their application and outline their relevant leadership experience.</p>
