Concordia College is seeking an outstanding and experienced string educator to lead our highly regarded ELC–12 String Program as Coordinator of Strings. This is a rare opportunity to join one of South Australia's leading school music programs in an ongoing leadership role.
<p>Working closely with the Head of Music, the successful applicant will provide leadership across all aspects of the College's String Program, inspiring students from ELC to Year 12 and fostering a culture of excellence, inclusion and enjoyment.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead and coordinate the College's ELC–12 String Program.</li>
<li>Conduct and rehearse the College's premier string ensembles and support the development of junior ensembles.</li>
<li>Provide artistic and educational leadership for the String Program, ensuring a high standard of teaching and performance.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with the Head of Music to develop and implement the strategic direction of the String Program.</li>
<li>Coordinate performances, concerts, tours, workshops and external events involving string ensembles.</li>
<li>Mentor instrumental staff and contribute to curriculum and co-curricular initiatives where appropriate.</li>
<li>Support student recruitment, retention and progression within the String Program.</li>
<li>Build positive relationships with students, staff and families, fostering a welcoming and inclusive program</li>
</ul>
<p>Hours are negotiated with the Head of Music; however, the successful applicant should be available to work on campus <strong>at least part of two days per week during school terms</strong>. Total contact time is approximately 5/6 hours a week.</p>
<p>An excellent opportunity exists to privately teach students within the College string program in addition to this leadership role.</p>
