We are seeking an outstanding educator and leader to join our wellbeing team as a <strong>Year Coordinator</strong>.</p> <p>This important leadership position is responsible for leading a specific year group, providing oversight of student wellbeing, academic progress and behaviour, while fostering a positive and connected cohort culture. Working closely with the Director of the Middle School or Director of the Senior School, the successful applicant will play a key role in supporting students, partnering with families and leading staff to ensure every young man is supported to thrive.</p> <p>The successful applicant will be a highly relational educator who is passionate about student wellbeing, academic growth and the holistic development of young people. They will be a visible and approachable presence within the College community, committed to fostering a culture of belonging, responsibility and excellence.</p> <p>This position is a <strong>3-year (2-point) Promotional Appointment (2027 - 2029)</strong> <strong>+ full time permanent teaching position and attracts up to 0.3 FTE time release.</strong></p> <p><strong>About The Role</strong></p> <p>As part of our commitment to developing young men of character, faith and purpose, the Year Coordinator provides leadership for a specific year group and serves as a key point of connection between students, families, staff and College leaders.</p> <p>The successful applicant will work collaboratively with the Wellbeing Team, teaching staff and families to support the academic, behavioural, social and emotional development of students. They will oversee the wellbeing and progress of their cohort, promote positive student engagement and contribute to the creation of a safe and supportive learning environment.</p> <p>This role requires a proactive and visible leader who can build strong relationships, support students through challenges, celebrate success and help shape a positive year group culture. The Year Coordinator will also provide leadership to staff associated with the cohort, support wellbeing initiatives and contribute to the continuous development of College programs and practices.</p> <p>The successful applicant will maintain a teaching allocation and demonstrate excellence as a classroom practitioner. They will be committed to contemporary approaches to student wellbeing, restorative practices and working collaboratively to achieve outstanding outcomes for students.</p> <p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p> <ul> <li>A working understanding of, and commitment to, the Catholic ethos of a School in the Edmund Rice tradition.</li> <li>Demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours and professional boundaries that reflect child safeguarding values in practice.</li> <li>Qualified Primary or Secondary Teacher&nbsp;(note subject/s you are qualified to teach) with NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW.</li> <li>Demonstrated excellence as a classroom practitioner.</li> <li>Experience in student wellbeing, pastoral care or educational leadership.</li> <li>Strong understanding of contemporary approaches to student wellbeing and development.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to build positive and productive relationships with students, families and staff.</li> <li>Proven capacity to support and manage student wellbeing, behaviour and academic progress.</li> <li>Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a leadership team.</li> <li>Commitment to continuous improvement and the holistic development of young people.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Highly Desirable</strong></p> <ul> <li>Postgraduate qualifications (in leadership, education,&nbsp;wellbeing,&nbsp;religious education or theology).</li> <li>Previous experience in a Year Coordinator, House Coordinator, Pastoral Care or similar middle leadership position.</li> <li>Experience using data to monitor student wellbeing, attendance and academic achievement.</li> <li>Familiarity with restorative practices and evidence-informed wellbeing approaches.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Join Us?</strong></p> <p>St Patricks College is a Catholic school for boys in the Edmund Rice tradition, educating over 1,630 students from Years 5 to 12.</p> <p>We are proud of our strong academic culture, commitment to holistic education and focus on developing young men of faith, integrity and purpose.
