<p>Rosebank College has a proud and varied history of over 150 years as part of the Good Samaritan family established in 1857 and belonging to the Benedictine spiritual and educational tradition founded by St Benedict in the 4th century. <p><strong>The Role</strong></p>
<p>Rosebank College is seeking an exceptional and highly motivated Diverse Learning Teacher Assistant to join the College on a permanent full-time basis, commencing Term 1, 2027.</p>
<p>This is an exciting opportunity to become one of the inaugural education support staff assisting with the introduction of Stage 3 (Years 5 and 6) while also contributing to the wider Diverse Learning Team across Years 5–12.</p>
<p>Reporting to the Diverse Learning Coordinator, the Diverse Learning Teacher Assistant will work collaboratively with the Director of Stage 3, Stage 3 teachers and the wider Diverse Learning Team to support students with diverse learning needs.</p>
<p>While the role will play an important part in supporting the successful introduction of Stage 3 (Year 5) in 2027, it is fundamentally a College-wide Diverse Learning position. The successful applicant will be required to work flexibly across Years 5–12, supporting students and teachers wherever required, with day-to-day priorities and deployment determined by the Diverse Learning Coordinator in response to student needs and operational requirements.</p>
<p>The successful applicant will assist teachers in implementing learning adjustments, supporting students within classrooms and small group settings, preparing learning resources, promoting student engagement, independence and wellbeing, and contributing to an inclusive learning environment where every student is supported to achieve their personal best. The role requires flexibility, collaboration and the ability to work effectively across a range of year groups, faculties and learning environments.</p>
<p>Working collaboratively across the College, the Diverse Learning Teacher Assistant will contribute to the successful establishment of Stage 3 while remaining an integral member of the Diverse Learning Team, providing support across all year groups as directed by the Diverse Learning Coordinator. This flexible approach ensures that student support remains responsive to the evolving needs of the College and reflects our commitment to providing inclusive learning opportunities for every student.</p>

<p><br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Provide classroom, small group and individual learning support for students with diverse learning needs.</li>
<li>Assist teachers to implement learning adjustments and differentiated learning strategies.</li>
<li>Support the successful implementation of Rosebank’s inaugural Stage 3 program while contributing to the broader work of the Diverse Learning Team.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with the Director of Stage 3, the Diverse Learning Coordinator, teachers and support staff to promote positive student outcomes.</li>
<li>Provide learning support across Years 5–12, with duties and deployment determined by the Diverse Learning Coordinator in response to student needs and operational priorities.</li>
<li>Prepare and organise teaching and learning resources.</li>
<li>Assist with student wellbeing, engagement, independence and inclusion.</li>
<li>Support students requiring personal care, including toileting, where required.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records and appropriate confidentiality regarding student information.</li>
<li>Contribute positively to a collaborative, reflective and high-performing professional learning culture.</li>
<li>Uphold the College’s Code of Conduct, Child Protection and Work Health and Safety requirements.<br><br>

<p><strong>About You</strong></p>
<p>We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly capable education support professional who is passionate about helping students achieve their personal best and contributing to the mission and values of Rosebank College.</p>
<p>The successful applicant will demonstrate:</p>
<ul>
<li>Demonstrated experience supporting students in an educational, disability, youth or community services setting, preferably within a school environment.</li>
<li>Relevant qualifications in Education Support, School-Based Education Support, Disability, Community Services or a related field (Certificate III or IV desirable).</li>
<li>Demonstrated understanding of inclusive education and differentiated learning practices.</li>
<li>Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and contribute positively to a multidisciplinary team.</li>
<li>Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to work across multiple year groups and learning environments, responding to changing student needs under the direction of the Diverse Learning Coordinator.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to build positive, respectful and supportive relationships with students, staff and families.</li>
<li>A genuine commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs to develop confidence, independence and resilience.</li>
<li>Demonstrated flexibility and resilience in a dynamic educational environment.</li>
<li>Ability to assist students with personal care, including toileting, where required.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and manage sensitive student information appropriately.</li>
<li>Sound computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and school-based information systems.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>A valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).</li>
<li>Demonstrated commitment to child safeguarding and promoting the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all students.</li>
