To provide high quality early childhood education and care to children accessing programs at our Early Learning Centre (ELC) in a manner that shows a professional commitment to children and their families, and that is God honouring and consistent with the school’s vision to provide a Christ-centred education in a learning community of Love, Nurture and Service. The team member is responsible to the Principal through the Head of School (P-5) and Director of the ELC. This is a permanent position (part-time or full-time) with four weeks annual leave (various shifts available). The ELC is open from 8am – 6pm and educators are expected to work within those hours as per the roster.

<p>Key Areas of Responsibility</p> <ul> <li>Providing quality, Christian based education and care for each child in accordance with the National Quality Framework.</li> <li>Participating in the development, implementation and evaluation of relevant educational programs and activities in line with the Early Years Learning Framework.</li> <li>Participating in documenting children’s learning in various ways (Seesaw, portfolios, classroom displays).</li> <li>Working with the centre’s Educational Leader and Teachers to further develop professional skills and knowledge.</li> <li>Participating in all ELC activities, using your initiative to complete daily tasks as required to support the team and children each day.</li> <li>Actively contributing to a positive and professional team culture in the ELC and across the Trinity School Community, always upholding the values of the school.&nbsp;</li> <li>Complying with all legislative requirements. Ensuring you are aware of all regulations, legislation and centre/school policies and how to apply them in practice.</li> <li>Participation in other school activities as directed.</li> </ul> <p>Selection Criteria</p> <ul> <li>Be a committed Christian with a clear understanding of, and support for, education in a Christian School setting.</li> <li>Have a genuine interest in the welfare of students and also in their social, spiritual and academic development.</li> <li>Have the ability to facilitate and engage children in authentic early childhood programs.</li> <li>Have an understanding of relevant early childhood legislation and regulations which govern the provision of early childhood programs.</li> <li>Have the ability to documentation children’s learning using a variety of methods.</li> <li>Demonstrate the ability to work successfully as part of a team including the ability to critically reflect on your practice and attitudes and how these affect the wider team culture.</li> <li>Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to contribute to a positive and professional team culture.</li> <li>Demonstrate a growth mindset and a willingness to attend and participate in professional development opportunities.</li> </ul> <p>Essential Qualifications and Requirements&nbsp;</p> <p>The successful applicant will have:</p> <ul> <li>A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (Or actively working towards)</li> <li>Current First Aid Certificate</li> <li>Current Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) card</li> </ul>
