<p>Key Areas of Responsibility</p> <ul> <li>Development and implementation of a dynamic and engaging outdoor nature program for children in the ELC which honours God as our Creator.&nbsp;</li> <li>Overseeing the set up and resourcing of the outdoor learning spaces and ensuring the areas are inviting and provide opportunities for a range of learning experiences.</li> <li>Develop professional and positive partnerships with the teachers to be able to assist children with their learning and development, complimenting the classroom curriculum and learning outcomes for each child.</li> <li>Assist the Director and Educational Leader to develop and review risk assessments for outdoor learning and nature play as required.</li> <li>Plan and implement nature learning in spaces outside the ELC (this can include the Trinity school site, local parks and the Erindale community garden).</li> <li>Contribute to the documentation of children’s learning and displaying children’s work and their processes respectfully.</li> <li>Establishing of positive partnerships with the children, families and the school and wider community.</li> <li>Actively contributing to a positive and professional team culture in the ELC and across the Trinity School Community, upholding the values of the school at all times.&nbsp;</li> <li>Complying with all legislative requirements. Ensuring you are aware of all regulations, legislation and centre/school policies and how to apply them in practice.</li> <li>Participating in all ELC activities, using your initiative to complete daily tasks as required to support the team and children each day.</li> <li>Participation in other school activities as directed.</li> </ul> <p>Selection Criteria</p> <ul> <li>Be a committed Christian with a clear understanding of, and support for, education in a Christian School setting.</li> <li>Have a genuine interest in the welfare of students and also in their social, spiritual and academic development.</li> <li>Demonstrate an interest and joy in nature and a willingness to spend most of your days outdoors.&nbsp;</li> <li>Have excellent communication skills especially with young children.</li> <li>Have well-developed interpersonal skills to contribute to a positive and professional team culture.</li> <li>Demonstrate the ability to work as a team member including the ability to critically reflect on your practice and attitudes and how these affect the wider team culture.</li> <li>Demonstrate a growth mindset and a willingness to attend and participate in professional development opportunities.</li> </ul> <p>Essential Qualifications and Requirements&nbsp;</p> <p>The successful applicant will have:</p> <ul> <li>A minimum of Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (Or actively working towards)</li> <li>Current First Aid Certificate</li> <li>Current Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) card</li> </ul>
