<p>Key Areas of Responsibility</p> <ul> <li>Development and implementation of a dynamic and engaging Christian early learning program for children in the ELC.</li> <li>Lead and make decisions in collaboration with the Nominated Supervisor (Director) and the ELC team as required to ensure we provide an authentic Christian early childhood program for all children enrolled at the ELC.</li> <li>Assist with the day-to-day management of the centre ensuring the centre meets all regulatory requirements at all times.&nbsp;</li> <li>Assist with the day-to-day operations of the centre which may include rostering, ordering supplies, policy development and implementation.</li> <li>Assist in planning and running team meetings to support the team to critically reflect on our practices and to support our commitment to continuous improvement.</li> <li>Assist in the enrolment and orientation of new children, families and staff as required.</li> <li>Leading and engaging in reflective discussions about quality early childhood practice and implementing the early Years Learning Framework.</li> <li>Plan and implement professional learning opportunities for the team and individual Teachers and Educators through a collaborative consultation process.&nbsp;</li> <li>Overseeing the educational programs and supporting Teachers and Educators to engage authentically, professionally and meaningfully with the program as they implement them.&nbsp;</li> <li>Establishing systems across the service to ensure there is continuity of learning when children change room or attend other services, and with their transition to kindergarten.</li> <li>Assist with documenting, analysing and evaluation of children’s learning and consider how this can inform future curriculum decision making.</li> <li>Establishing of positive partnerships with the children, families and the school and wider community.</li> <li>Actively contributing to a positive and professional team culture in the ELC and across the Trinity School Community, always upholding the values of the school.</li> <li>Participation in other school activities as required.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>Selection Criteria</p> <ul> <li>Be a committed Christian with a clear understanding of, and support for, education in a Christian School setting.</li> <li>Have a genuine interest in the welfare of students and in their social, spiritual and academic development.</li> <li>Demonstrate leadership skills to collaborate with the Nominated Supervisor (Director), the ELC team and wider school community.</li> <li>Collaborate with Teachers and Educators to plan, implement and evaluate a developmentally appropriate program for early childhood education.</li> <li>Have a thorough working knowledge of the National Quality Framework and the relevant early childhood legislation and regulations which govern the provision of Early Learning Centre.</li> <li>Demonstrate the ability to work successfully as part of a team including the ability to critically reflect on your practice and attitudes and how these affect the wider team culture.&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to contribute to a positive and professional team culture.</li> <li>Demonstrate a growth mindset and a willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.</li> </ul> <p>Essential Qualifications and Requirements&nbsp;</p> <p>The successful applicant will have:</p> <ul> <li>A degree in Early Childhood Teaching (or equivalent)</li> <li>Proven experience in leadership in an Early Learning Centre or long day care centre</li> <li>Current First Aid Certificate</li> <li>Current Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) card</li> </ul>
