<p> <br><strong>About the Role</strong> </p>
<p>As a member of the Payroll Services Team reporting to the Employee Services & Payroll Manager, this role encompasses assisting with the end-to-end payroll processing of Catholic Schools Broken Bay’s (CSBB) fortnightly payroll for all permanent, temporary and casual employees. </p>
<p>This is a <strong>temporary full-time role</strong> within the Capability and Enablement of our People Workstream. This will be a <strong>5 week leave cover</strong> for the dates <strong>from 3rd August 2026 until Friday 4th September 2026</strong>. Ideally, we are looking for someone who is<strong> immediately available</strong> or can start at short notice. This role will be based at our central office in Pennant Hills. </p>

<p><strong>Key role responsibilities:</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Conduct and assist with the fortnightly end-to-end Payroll processing in accordance with the CSBB Payroll Checklist for staff and provide information in a timely, accurate and efficient manner </li>
<li>Provide clear, accurate and timely customer service responding to Payroll enquires by phone, Teams, email or Service CSBB </li>
<li>Tax, banking and superannuation nominations (new starter set up and adjustments for existing staff) </li>
<li>Utilise PHRIS (our payroll system) to calculate and process employee leave entitlements, including but not limited to; annual leave, personal leave, long service leave, in accordance with the relevant enterprise agreement and award </li>
<li>Carry out any other duties when needed and as reasonably required </li>

<p><strong>About You</strong> </p>
<p>As the ideal candidate you will meet the following key requirements: </p>
<ul>
<li>Extensive payroll knowledge and understanding of payroll processes </li>
<li>At least 3 to 5 years end-to-end payroll processing experience </li>
<li>Intermediate Word & Excel skills </li>
<li>Strong communicator who can provide exceptional customer service to our Schools and Central Office staff </li>
<li>Excellent attention to detail and accuracy </li>
<li>Knowledge of Oracle People Soft is desirable </li>
<li>Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team and share knowledge </li>
<li>Ability to problem solve with a hands-on-approach when required </li>
<li>An ability to prioritise, plan, multi-task and manage time effectively, with an ability to work independently </li>
<li>A deep commitment to safeguarding as everyone's responsibility and prioritising child safety </li>
<li>Is adaptive and responsive to change and can manage competing priorities to deliver high quality work </li>
<li>Experience with the Education sector is desirable </li>
</ul>
