<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p>
<p>St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and experienced <strong>Duty Technician </strong>to join our Events team, on a casual basis. As the lead technical officer on duty, you will deliver the technical operation of College events and productions, ensuring our performing arts venues operate safely, efficiently and to a professional standard. This is an exciting casual opportunity for an experienced theatre or production technician who enjoys a hands-on role in a dynamic events environment.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead the technical delivery of events, productions and performances across College venues.</li>
<li>Configure and operate professional lighting, audio, vision and staging systems.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot technical issues and provide on-the-spot solutions during events.</li>
<li>Coordinate venue set-up, changeovers and restoration to maintain operational readiness.</li>
<li>Provide technical support, guidance and venue inductions for performers, hirers and production teams.</li>
<li>Maintain safe work practices and contribute to equipment maintenance, reporting and continuous improvement.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What You Bring</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A relevant tertiary degree qualification in Theatre, Production, Creative Industries or a related discipline, and/or extensive relevant industry experience.</li>
<li>Comprehensive knowledge of theatre production, lighting, audio, audiovisual and staging systems.</li>
<li>Experience in a similar role, with knowledge of live event delivery, venue operations and technical production environments.</li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Highly developed organisational and time management skills.</li>
<li>Commitment to the College's Christian ethos and values</li>
