<p><br><strong>About Us</strong> </p>
<p>Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CACGEL) operates in the ACT and NSW, supporting 56 Schools and nine Early Learning Centres (ELCs). </p>
<p>The Archdiocesan Schools Office provides a range of services to the system through four directorates including Faith in Learning, School Operations, Corporate Services and Governance and Strategy.</p>
<p><strong>About the Role </strong> </p>
<p>The Senior Digital Education and Skills Officer is responsible for leading the system-wide approach to digital teaching and learning capability, digital skills uplift, and the effective enablement of technology to support contemporary pedagogy. The role provides strategic leadership for the development and delivery of the digital enablement strategy, including the establishment of a coherent Artificial Intelligence (AI) vision and strategy for teaching and learning aligned to Catholic values, student safety, educational integrity, and organisational governance.</p>
<p>Key responsibilities of the role include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing review of the system-wide digital teaching and learning strategy, ensuring alignment with educational priorities, curriculum frameworks, and pedagogy.</li>
<li>Lead the development of a clear, system-level AI vision and strategy that supports learning and teaching, operational efficiency, and responsible innovation. This will include consideration for the support of ASO staff in their use of AI.</li>
<li>Lead a small specialist team to support ASO business units and a diverse system of schools, ensuring advice and support are context‑sensitive, consistent, and aligned to system strategy.</li>

<p><strong>Qualifications and Eligibility </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Tertiary qualifications in education, learning technologies.</li>
<li>Significant experience in education systems, school networks, or large organisations supporting teaching and learning.</li>
<li>Experience contributing to or leading digital transformation initiatives across multiple sites or stakeholder groups.</li>
<li>Ability to obtain and maintain Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy</li>
<li>Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration and Working With Children Check (WWCC) <br>
(<i>Please note these clearances are not required at point of application however are required prior to commencement</i>)</li>
