Cranbrook School is seeking an experienced and energetic Pre-school Visual Arts Teacher to join our Pre-school at our Darling Point campus on a part-time (0.6 FTE) basis.
<p><strong>ABOUT THE POSITION</strong></p>
<p>The Pre-school Visual Arts Teacher is responsible for the planning, delivery and evaluation of a high-quality visual arts program for Pre-school students. Through engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences, you foster children’s imagination, artistic confidence and creative thinking while contributing to a positive, inclusive and child-centred learning environment.</p>
<p>This 0.6 FTE position works collaboratively with classroom teaching teams to integrate visual arts into inquiry, document student growth and curate exhibitions that celebrate children’s creativity.</p>

<p>You are a progressive, globally minded, enthusiastic and dedicated Visual Arts Teacher, with the ability to inspire students in their love of learning and in the pursuit of excellence.</p>
<p>Capable of working collaboratively within a team to plan and deliver high quality teaching and learning programmes, and possessing an exemplary understanding of best practice, you sustain a deep commitment to implement rigorous, highly differentiated programmes in a pre-school setting.</p>
<p>You are an excellent communicator, creative, and able to work well with students, parents and other teachers. You are committed to continual professional development and reflection and have a genuine interest in the growth of young people.</p>
<p><strong>SELECTION CRITERIA</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A minimum of two years’ experience working as an early childhood educator</li>
<li>Experience in additional needs and inclusion support will be highly regarded</li>
<li>Experience in digital documentation and journals</li>
<li>Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills</li>
<li>Familiarity with the Education and Care Services National Law, the Education and Care Services National Regulations, National Quality Framework, and the Early Years Learning Framework</li>
<li>A level of mobility that supports the ability to respond to a first aid / behavioural incident</li>
<li>Strong physical, mental and emotional health to deal with the required demands and responsibilities of the role</li>
<li>Current First Aid and CPR qualifications</li>
<li>A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children</li>
<li>A demonstrated understanding of child safety and appropriate behaviours when engaging with children</li>
</ul>
<p>Experience with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme would be advantageous.</p>
