We value courage, integrity, inclusivity and an unwavering focus on tomorrow in all that we do to prioritise extraordinary outcomes for the diverse student population entrusted to us.</p> <p>The College’s Infrastructure Team plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the College, ensuring that our facilities and environment are safe, functional and well-presented for students, staff and visitors.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a reliable and motivated School Labourer / Grounds Person to join our Infrastructure team on a permanent full-time basis (38 hours per week).</p> <p>Working across our Torrens Park and Mitcham campuses, you will play an important role in maintaining the College environment and supporting the daily operations of the school. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in maintaining high standards and values being part of a collaborative team.</p> <p>As part of a small, close-knit team, you will work alongside experienced colleagues who are committed to delivering a safe, attractive and well-maintained environment for our students, staff and wider community.</p> <p>Key responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Undertaking general labouring duties including manual handling, lifting and moving materials, furniture and equipment</li> <li>Assisting with site preparation and clean-up for maintenance and operational activities</li> <li>Supporting waste management processes, including collection and disposal across campus</li> <li>Assisting with event set-ups and pack-downs</li> <li>Receiving, transporting and distributing deliveries across both campuses</li> <li>Maintaining clean, safe and organised work areas</li> <li>Attending and contributing to Toolbox Talks and team meetings</li> </ul> <p>This role operates within a live school environment and requires a respectful, approachable and professional manner when interacting with students, staff and visitors.<br> &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About you</strong></p> <p>You will be a dependable and team-oriented individual who takes pride in your work and contributes positively to the team environment. You will hold a Class C Driver’s Licence (essential) and ideally a construction industry white card.</p> <p>&nbsp;You will bring:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in a labouring or a physically active role</li> <li>A strong work ethic and willingness to undertake hands-on tasks</li> <li>The ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision</li> <li>A collaborative approach and the ability to build respectful working relationships</li> <li>Strong awareness of safety and ability to work effectively in a live school environment</li> </ul> <p>Incumbents will be required to attain and maintain a valid Working with Children Check, RRHAN-EC (Masterclass) and First Aid certification.
