<p>Nyangatjatjara College comprises three campuses and is located in Central Australia having iconic Uluru as its epicentre. The College provides Primary and Secondary Education programs and aspires to guide Anangu students into relevant employment and enterprise. The College serves the three Anangu communities of Imanpa, Mutitjulu and Kaltukatjara and is primarily accessed by the Lasseter Highway. The school has an enrolment of around 75 -100 students from Foundation to Year 10.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key duties and responsibilities</strong></p> <ol> <li>Plan, prepare and explicitly deliver quality and evidence-based teaching and learning programs which are consistent with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and relevant curriculum policies, work programs and local trends.</li> <li>Support students through interaction in a variety of settings and through the active development of supportive learning environments and effective behaviour management practices.</li> <li>Provide for the physical, social, cultural and emotional well- being and safety of students whilst at school.</li> <li>Regularly assess students (diagnostic, formative and summative) for developmental, feedback and reporting purposes.</li> <li>Maintain student records and samples of work and report on student performance to students, parents, the department and other stakeholders as required.</li> <li>Establish and maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships between the school, parents and community.</li> <li>Report to the Lead Teacher and Deputy Principal.<br> &nbsp;</li> </ol> <p><strong>Information for applicants&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Yulara is 1 of 5 major centres in the NT. We are positioned just outside the beautiful Uluṟu Kata Tjuṯa National Park and are close to the airport which connects to Sydney and Melbourne all year round and during peak season opens up to more locations such as Brisbane and Cairns. Yulara gets all the benefits of working with students, families and stakeholders of Mutitjulu but also being able to have the opportunity to enjoy the perks of living near a multicultural resort. As staff don’t live in the community, relationships can be slower to develop but as long as people are willing to put in work outside of the school environment with football games, being present at Community events or visiting Headspace and other services used by the students, these can built upon.&nbsp;</p> <p>No visa sponsorship available.</p> <p><strong>Our must haves:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A willingness to learn and be open to feedback - from Community and leadership</li> <li>Cultural sensitivity and awareness&nbsp;</li> <li>Some remote experience would be ideal - but not a deal breaker if not</li> <li>Experience in planning and delivering integrated units in multi years class (ideal but not a necessity)</li> <li>A willingness to do duties beyond classroom teaching - Community events, On Country events etc.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Further&nbsp;information</strong></p> <p>All applicants&nbsp;must be registered with the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.trb.nt.gov.au/" rel="nofollow">Teacher Registration Board</a>&nbsp;of&nbsp;the Northern Territory and have a current Working with Children Notice (Ochre Card) from&nbsp;<a href="https://forms.pfes.nt.gov.au/safent/" rel="nofollow">SAFE NT.</a></p>
