This role has the possibility of becoming permanent due to departmental growth.</p> <p><strong>Core Requirements:</strong></p> <p>Applicants for the position of Technology Teacher must demonstrate at a minimum that they:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>are a committed Christian, who is active in the life of a Bible-based Evangelical Church</li> <li>support the College’s vision of holistic Christian education</li> <li>conduct themselves in a manner in keeping with the College ethos and Code of Conduct at all times, modelling Christian maturity to the College community</li> <li>have the ability to teach across Stages 4-6 of the NESA Technology Syllabuses to ensure that the College provides quality education to students</li> <li>have exceptional communication and relational teaching skills</li> <li>have knowledge of relevant compliance requirements in schools</li> <li>holds a valid Working with Children Check in NSW (WWCC)</li> <li>are an accredited teacher with at least Conditional Teacher accreditation from NESA</li> <li>work effectively and collaboratively in a Faculty team.</li> <li>this is a specialist role - the successful candidate must have expertise in the area of Textiles.</li> <li>the ability to teach another Technology subject area would be highly desirable.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Core Responsibilities:</strong><br> The Technology Teacher should:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>provide effective and innovative teaching practices for teaching TAS, reflecting the Christian ethos of the College, ensuring a high standard of outcomes for all students</li> <li>manage curriculum requirements for their classes, including programs, registers, assessment, feedback, and reporting</li> <li>manage student issues arising from their classes using the College’s positive behaviour framework and implementing relevant College protocols</li> <li>implement College protocols and strategies</li> <li>provide effective pastoral care to students through leading a regular House Tutor group</li> <li>support cocurricular activities of the College.</li> </ul>
