<p><strong>Music &amp; Performing Arts Teacher (P–6)</strong><br><strong>Part-time | FTE 0.66</strong><br><strong>Commencing Semester 2, 2026 (contract)</strong><br><strong>Potential for ongoing employment in 2027</strong></p> <p>St Joseph’s Elsternwick is seeking an enthusiastic and creative <strong>Music &amp; Performing Arts Teacher (P–6) </strong>to join our dynamic learning community in Semester 2, 2026, with the possibility of ongoing in 2027. This position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students across Prep to Year 6 through rich and engaging visual arts experiences that nurture imagination, skill, and self-expression.</p> <p>The role is 0.66 FTE, working <strong>Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (full days)</strong> and <strong>Friday 9.00am–11.00am (planning, may be completed offsite).</strong></p> <p>We are looking for a teacher who:</p> <ul> <li>Is passionate about Music and Performing Arts education.</li> <li>Creates engaging and inclusive learning experiences that cater for the diverse needs of students.</li> <li>Inspires confidence, creativity, and a love of performance in young learners.</li> <li>Demonstrates excellence in curriculum planning and delivery in line with the Victorian Curriculum.</li> <li>Values strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.</li> <li>Is committed to ongoing professional growth and reflective practice.</li> <li>Actively supports the Catholic ethos and values of our school.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential Qualifications and Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Education or equivalent tertiary qualification.</li> <li>Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).</li> <li>A sound understanding of effective teaching and learning practices within Music and Performing Arts.</li> <li>Experience directing or coordinating student performances, concerts, productions, or liturgical celebrations would be highly regarded.</li> <li>Commitment to child safety and wellbeing.</li> </ul> <p>At St Joseph’s, we are proud to provide a vibrant specialist program that encourages creativity and expression.
