Our mission is to provide a Christ-centred education of excellence that empowers students to develop their God-given potential.</p> <p>We are seeking a qualified and student-focused <strong>Teacher</strong> to join our Learning Support team in Secondary School. This role has a strong focus on supporting a student with English as an Additional Language (EAL) needs through targeted instruction, contributing to their learning, engagement and development.</p> <p>This role provides an opportunity to contribute to the College’s approach to supporting EAL learners within a collaborative Learning Support team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support a student at a critical stage of their learning and development.</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <ul> <li>Deliver targeted <strong>English as an Additional Language (EAL) instruction</strong>, including 1:1 and small group support</li> <li>Support a designated student to develop English language proficiency and access curriculum content</li> <li>Assess student progress and adjust learning approaches accordingly</li> <li>Provide guidance on EAL-informed adjustments to curriculum, assessment and classroom practice</li> <li>Contribute to the development of effective strategies to support EAL learners across the Secondary School</li> <li>Collaborate with the Learning Support Coordinator and teachers to implement adjustments and support strategies</li> <li>Provide some in-class support and assist with differentiation where required</li> <li>Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment</li> </ul> <p><strong>The Successful Applicant Will Have</strong></p> <ul> <li>A personal Christian faith, regular church attendance and willingness to support the College’s Statement of Faith</li> <li>Understanding of, and commitment to, child safety in an educational setting</li> <li>Current NSW Working with Children Check</li> <li>NESA-recognised teaching qualifications and accreditation</li> <li>Demonstrated experience and/or expertise in <strong>English as an Additional Language (EAL) teaching</strong>, including the ability to support differentiated instruction and assessment adjustments</li> <li>Ability to tailor instruction to meet individual student learning needs</li> <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively with staff while also managing independent teaching responsibilities</li> </ul> <p><strong>Demonstrated evidence of the following behavioural competencies:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Working with People</li> <li>Planning and Organising</li> <li>Adapting and Responding to Change</li> <li>Presenting and Communicating Information</li> <li>Adhering to Principles and Values</li> </ul> <p><strong>Working Arrangement</strong></p> <p>This is a <strong>part-time position (0.2–0.4 FTE, negotiable)</strong> for <strong>Terms 3 and 4, 2026</strong>.</p> <p>Working days and hours will be determined based on the Secondary timetable. It is anticipated that the role will be spread across <strong>2–3 days per week</strong>.
