<p>We are seeking an experienced Arts and Textiles Teacher who can inspire creativity, foster self-expression, and connect artistic learning with practical skills. To be successful this teacher will engage students in meaningful learning experiences that develop their creative thinking, technical expertise, and confidence in engaging with art and design. Our dynamic and contemporary curriculum supports students to create artistic and textile-based works and explore a range of materials, techniques, processes, and design principles while developing an appreciation for creativity and innovation.</p>
<p>Your teaching will reflect a commitment to explicit instruction, differentiation, and formative assessment, ensuring that all students are both supported and challenged. You will cultivate a learning environment that values curiosity, resilience, collaboration, and attention to detail, enabling students to develop both practical skills and an understanding of the cultural, historical, and contemporary contexts that shape artistic and textile practice.</p>

<p><strong>This is a permanent, full-time opportunity however, part-time applications will also be considered. The successful applicant can commence Term 3, 2026.</strong> </p>

<li>strong artistic and design capability, with a passion for fostering creativity, visual literacy, and practical skill development through contemporary arts and textiles education </li>
<li>experience in the design, development, and delivery of engaging Arts and Textiles learning programs that incorporate a range of artistic techniques, materials, technologies, and design processes </li>
<li>an excellent understanding of safe practices within arts and textiles environments, including the safe use of equipment and materials, sustainable design principles, and ethical engagement with artistic and cultural influences</li>
<li>a commitment to role modelling respect for every student’s individuality and learning diversity need</li>
<li>a demonstrated ability to foster a welcoming and safe learning environment </li>
<li>a commitment to work in a Catholic Education environment. </li>
