We are seeking passionate and committed Primary Classroom Teachers to join our team for the remainder of 2026, commencing Semester 2, 2026.

<p><i>Prince of Peace Lutheran College is a K-12 co-educational, independent, Christian school located in the north-western suburbs of Brisbane. The College was established by the Prince of Peace Lutheran Congregation in 1984 to provide quality Christian education to the children of the community.&nbsp;</i></p> <p><i>Prince of Peace Lutheran College offers classes on two sites from Kindergarten to Year 12 with approximately 620 students enrolled. The Junior Campus (K-6) is located at Rogers Parade West, Everton Park. The Middle &amp; Senior Campus, 1 km away at Henderson Road, Everton Hills was opened in July 2009 and is home to Years 7-12.</i></p> <p><strong>About the Roles</strong></p> <p>We are seeking passionate and committed <strong>Primary Classroom Teachers</strong> to join our team for the remainder of 2026, commencing <strong>Semester 2, 2026</strong>.</p> <p><strong>Positions available:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Prep Teacher</strong> – Fixed Term, <strong>1.0 FTE</strong></li> <li><strong>Year 5/6 Teacher</strong> – Fixed Term, <strong>0.8 FTE</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>Applications Close:&nbsp;30 June 2026</strong></p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><strong>It is essential that applicants have a demonstrated capacity in working as a/an:</strong></p> <ul> <li><i>effective classroom teacher, delivering high-quality, engaging and differentiated learning for Prep and Years 5–6 students .</i></li> <li><i>teacher who models and supports the Lutheran ethos, contributing to a Christ-centred, caring and values-based learning environment.</i></li> <li><i>collaborative member of a teaching team, working positively with colleagues in planning, reflection and shared responsibility for student outcomes.</i></li> </ul> <p><strong>Selection Criteria</strong></p> <p><strong>Applicants are required to address the following selection criteria:</strong></p> <p><strong>1. Christian ethos and Lutheran identity</strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated skills which reflect commitment to, and understanding of, the Christian ethos of the College</li> <li>Ability to model and support the Lutheran ethos in all aspects of teaching, relationships and professional practice</li> </ul> <p><strong>2. Professional relationships and collaboration</strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated professional skills in developing positive relationships with students from Foundation to Year 6 but particularly in Years 5 and 6</li> <li>Ability to build strong, professional relationships with staff, colleagues, parents and members of the wider community</li> <li>Proven capacity to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team, contributing to shared planning, reflection and student outcomes</li> </ul> <p><strong>3. Teaching and learning</strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated ability to plan and implement high-quality teaching and learning programs in an upper primary setting</li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian Curriculum subjects</li> <li>Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the diverse academic, social and emotional needs of students</li> <li>Capacity to use data to inform teaching and learning, including collecting, analysing and responding to student achievement data to guide planning and targeted intervention</li> <li>Ability to integrate ICTs as cross-curricular priorities within the curriculum</li> </ul> <p><strong>4. Student wellbeing and classroom environment</strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated commitment to student wellbeing and pastoral care</li> <li>Ability to create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment that supports positive behaviour and student growth</li> </ul> <p><strong>5.
