The Religious Education Coordinator leads the teaching and learning of Religious Education and the wider religious dimension of the school, an important step in Catholic leadership.</p> <p>The successful candidate for this position will be a highly effective leader who:</p> <ul> <li>is a committed Catholic who understands the evangelising mission of Catholic schools and working closely with the priests and the parish community</li> <li>is a leader of Catholic identity and mission at a school and/or system level, adaptable in working within a 'shared leadership' model</li> <li>demonstrates the ability to lead the preparation of liturgies and celebrations, and Religious Education in all aspects of curriculum development, implementation and differentiation</li> <li>is a strong, contemporary leader of learning, with the capacity to lead change and demonstrate contemporary pedagogy that focuses on improving student learning</li> <li>demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders and build relationships, work collaboratively across all stages, and analyse and use data to inform learning and engage in future planning</li> <li>is a Baptised Catholic with demonstrated evidence of ongoing commitment to the teachings of the Catholic Church and engagement in the life of a Catholic faith community such as a parish or an established community within the Catholic Church, as an expression of your relationship with Jesus Christ.</li> </ul> <p>You will have attained or working towards:</p> <ul> <li>completed, or has evidence of study toward, a Graduate Diploma or Master of Religious Education, Theology or Theological Studies from an approved institution</li> <li>requirements of (Category E) as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach and Lead or agree to meet these requirements in your first contract term</li> <li>the ability to demonstrate the standard descriptors at lead teacher level, in accordance with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers</li> <li>post graduate units of study in leadership (advantageous).</li> </ul> <p><i><strong>All Religious Education Coordinator roles are a promotional appointment of up to 3 years + a full-time, permanent teaching position.
