<p>Concordia Lutheran College offers a unique coeducational learning environment for Kindy to Year 12 students. The College offers a vibrant community that is inclusive, welcoming and friendly. Every student is seen as an individual with a special contribution to make.</p> <p><strong>The Concordia Lutheran College Council is seeking to appoint a Principal who is an outstanding educator and visionary leader with the capacity to embrace and implement the College’s vision and values while executing the strategic direction.&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>The appointment will commence January 2027 unless otherwise negotiated.</strong></p> <p>Concordia Lutheran College, located at Stephen Street, Toowoomba opened to secondary students and boarders in 1946. In 1964, a primary school, independent from the College, was established in Warwick Street (across the road). In 1977, another new primary school was established in Toowoomba in Hume Street. In 2007, all three schools amalgamated to form Concordia Lutheran College across three campuses. The Stephen Street Campus facilitates the Middle and Senior College (Years 7-12) and is home to the boarders. Warwick Street and Hume Street Campuses house the Junior Colleges (K-6).&nbsp;</p> <p>In 2026, the College celebrates bringing all three campuses together onto Stephen Street as one of the most significant moments in its history. This is the culmination of many dedicated years of work stemming from the Master Plan. This significant development marks a new chapter for the College, one that blends its rich traditions with contemporary facilities designed to support students’ learning, wellbeing and growth for decades to come.</p> <p>The College exists to nurture and empower young people to shape and enrich our world through a life of faith and service. The College is a Christian community where God’s message of grace is proclaimed. Concordia Lutheran College maintains strong links with the Lutheran Church, with many local Lutheran congregations nearby.&nbsp;</p> <p>The next Principal will embrace the history and culture of Concordia Lutheran College while leading change in a contemporary educational environment. The Principal is responsible for leading the day-to-day management of the College, implementing the Strategic Plan in line with College Council priorities and undertaking the development and implementation of the College master plan.</p> <p>This is an outstanding opportunity for a Lutheran educational leader to help shape the dynamic future of this vibrant College.&nbsp;</p> <p>The successful applicant will:</p> <ul> <li>Be an active communicant member of the Lutheran Church of Australia and New Zealand (LCANZ).</li> <li>Be <a href="https://www.lutheran.edu.au/school-professionals-2/accreditation/" rel="nofollow">accredited as a leader in Lutheran Schools</a>, or be eligible and willing to work towards accreditation.</li> <li>Have significant and successful experience in teaching and educational administration.</li> <li>Have the capacity for Christian witnessing and servant leadership to further the nurturing of the Christian mission of the school and encourage and develop a caring community.</li> <li>Hold or be eligible for teacher registration in Queensland through the Queensland College of Teachers.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
