We have zero tolerance for child abuse and are committed to acting in the best interests of children at all times.</p> <p>The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to child safety, uphold professional boundaries, and actively contribute to creating and maintaining a child-safe environment.</p> <p><i><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></i></p> <ul> <li>Plan and facilitate engaging experiences based on children's interests and needs.</li> <li>Promote the safety, wellbeing, inclusion, and participation of all children.</li> <li>Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the wider school community.</li> <li>Support the daily operation of the After School Care and Vacation Care programs.</li> <li>Maintain compliance with National Quality Framework requirements, service policies, and child safeguarding obligations.</li> <li>Work collaboratively as part of a professional and supportive team.</li> </ul> <p><i><strong>Essential Requirements</strong></i></p> <ul> <li>Cert III or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, School Age Education and Care, or equivalent approved qualification.</li> <li>Previous experience working in an OSHC, education, childcare, or recreation setting.</li> <li>Current NT Ochre Card (Working with Children Clearance).</li> <li>Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.</li> <li>Current Gecko Child Safety Training and Mandatory Reporting Training (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).</li> <li>Demonstrated understanding of child safeguarding responsibilities and professional boundaries.</li> </ul> <p><i><strong>Desirable</strong></i></p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of the My Time, Our Place Framework and National Quality Standards.</li> <li>Experience working from a trauma-informed perspective.</li> <li>Experience supporting children with diverse needs and abilities.</li> <li>Strong communication and relationship-building skills.</li> </ul> <p><i><strong>Recruitment Process</strong></i></p> <p>The successful applicant will be required to participate in Catholic Education Northern Territory’s child-safe recruitment process, which includes:</p> <ul> <li>Comprehensive reference checks, including questions relating to child safety and suitability to work with children.</li> <li>Verification of qualifications and employment history.</li> <li>Working with Children Clearance verification.</li> <li>Assessment of child safeguarding knowledge and professional boundaries during the recruitment process.</li> <li>Compliance with Catholic Education Northern Territory safeguarding requirements.</li> </ul> <p>If you are enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to providing high-quality care in a child-safe environment, we would love to hear from you.</p> <p><i><strong>St Paul’s OSHC is committed to child safety and welcomes applications from individuals who share our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children.</strong></i></p> <p><strong>APPLICATIONS CLOSE DATE -30th June 2025</strong></p> <p><strong>Applications will be assessed as received and the position may be filled prior to the closing date.</strong></p> <p><strong>Part-Time or Casual Position</strong></p>
