We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director – Early Learning Centre to join our Adelaide Hills campus on a full-time replacement contract through to at least the commencement of the ELC in 2027.

<p>King’s Early Learning operates across Wynn Vale and Adelaide Hills as a connected, multi-campus model with a shared vision and consistent approach, led by the Director of Early Learning and supported locally by the Assistant Director.</p>
<p>Grounded in Reggio Emilia principles and a belief that each child is a unique gift from God, our environments for children aged 3 to 5 are engaging, high-quality, and community-focused, with the Assistant Director playing a key role in ensuring consistent practice, care, and continuous improvement across both campuses.</p>
<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p>
<p>We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director – Early Learning Centre to join our Adelaide Hills campus on a full-time replacement contract through to at least the commencement of the ELC in 2027.</p>
<p>Reporting to the Director of Early Learning, the Assistant Director plays a critical leadership role in supporting the effective operation of the Early Learning Centre. The position contributes to both operational management and educational leadership, ensuring a high-quality, safe, and compliant early learning environment.</p>
<p>The Assistant Director provides day-to-day leadership of Educators, particularly in the absence of the Director, and actively contributes to building a strong, collaborative and professional team culture.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Support the Director in the day-to-day management and administration of the ELC</li>
<li>Provide leadership, supervision and mentoring to Educators</li>
<li>Ensure ongoing compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standard (NQS), and Education and Care Services National Regulations</li>
<li>Oversee rostering, staffing ratios, and operational requirements</li>
<li>Contribute to the development and implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP)</li>
<li>Maintain compliance with child safety, WHS, and risk management processes</li>
<li>Support family engagement and maintain strong community relationships</li>
<li>Act as the Responsible Person when required, including in the Director’s absence</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A personal commitment to King's Vision, Mission and Values that underpin the delivery of a Christian-based education to students in the School community.</li>
<li>Demonstrated knowledge of the National Quality Standard, National Regulations, and ACECQA requirements</li>
<li>Proven ability to lead, supervise and mentor Educators, including ensuring compliance in daily practiceort the Director in the day-to-day management and administration of the ELC</li>
<li>Provide leadership, supervision and mentoring to Educators</li>
<li>Ensure ongoing compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National</li>
<li>Experience supporting or leading compliance, audits, and regulatory requirements within an ELC setting</li>
<li>Strong working knowledge of Child Care Subsidy (CCS) processes and Child Care Management Systems</li>
<li>High-level organisational, communication and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Ability to confidently act in a leadership capacity in the absence of the Director</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Diploma or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved)</li>
<li>Current Working with Children Check</li>
<li>Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect training</li>
<li>ACECQA-approved First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification</li>
<li>Experience in an Early Learning/Childcare environment</li>
</ul>
