<p><strong>About Our School</strong></p> <p>Grace Lutheran Primary School is a great little stand-alone primary school on the Redcliffe Peninsula. &nbsp;We are well established school (1971) co-educational school that is owned and operated by the Lutheran Church of Australia (Queensland District).&nbsp; We are open to persons who support the philosophy of the school, without discrimination to class, race or belief.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Engage, Educate, Excite drives everything that we do. &nbsp;We are well known for our supportive caring community, strong development of literacy and numeracy skills, sporting programs and competition, and our thriving performing arts opportunities. &nbsp;We believe that little people can achieve great things. &nbsp;We set our standards high and strive to develop independence, inquiry and initiative in our learners.</p> <p>Grace Primary has beautiful modern facilities and is a well established and resourced school of around 490 students (P-6). &nbsp;We have a strong relationship with our Early Learning Centre (onsite, 2-5 year olds) and Grace Lutheran College (Rothwell, Years 7-12).</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a passionate and motivated classroom teacher to join our team on a full-time contract for Semester 2, 2026. Ongoing employment may be available for the right candidate and circumstances.</p> <p>Classroom teachers are responsible for teaching their class English, Mathematics and Integrated Studies (transdisciplinary units with a conceptual inquiry approach). &nbsp;Social emotional education is also an important part of our education program with The Resilience Project and Restorative Practices as core components.</p> <p>Class teachers work strongly within their collaborative year level teams and design units to engage, educate and excite their diverse learners. &nbsp;</p> <p>Class teachers receive 3 hours 40 minutes non-contact time a week when their learners go to specialist lessons of Japanese, Performing Arts, Physical Education, Christian Studies and STEM.&nbsp;</p> <p>We are also seeking teachers to add to our relief teaching team.</p> <p><strong>Experience</strong></p> <p>Applications are welcomed from graduate and early career teachers, as well as experienced educators.</p> <p>Actively supporting the Lutheran ethos of the school and striving to make learning engaging and exciting for students is essential.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>How to Apply</strong></p> <p>To apply for the&nbsp;position, please forward your resume with a cover letter to <a href="mailto:careers@glps.qld.edu.au?subject=Primary%20Teacher%20-%20Semester%202%202026%20position%20%28via%20Teachers%20On%20Net%29">careers@glps.qld.edu.au</a>. &nbsp;Applications will be processed with possible job interviews offered as they are received.
