St Carlo Acutis Catholic Primary School, Wollert West, is seeking a highly organised and detail‑focused School Compliance Officer to support our growing community. This part‑time position (one day per week or one day per fortnight) negotiable for the right candidate plays a vital role in ensuring our school continues to meet all regulatory, legislative and policy requirements. We seek an organised, efficient, vibrant and friendly person with excellent IT and communication skills. This exciting position will start in Term Three, working alongside the school leadership team and Office Administration Manager.
<p>St Carlo Acutis Catholic Primary School is a vibrant and growing new school community, proudly opened in 2025 and now entering our second year of operation. We are seeking a highly organised, proactive and personable <strong>School Compliance Officer </strong>to support our continued growth and ensure our school remains safe, compliant and well managed. </p>
<p>This fixed-term part‑time position is for one day per week or one day per fortnight (negotiable). The successful applicant will be warm, welcoming and adaptable, able to work independently while collaborating effectively with our small and dedicated team and plays a vital role in ensuring our school continues to meet all regulatory, legislative and policy requirements.</p>

<p><strong><u>About the Role</u></strong></p>
<p>As our <strong>Compliance Officer</strong>, you will work closely with the Principal and school leadership team to maintain and strengthen our compliance systems across key areas including:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Child Safety Standards</strong> — monitoring documentation, training records and reporting processes</li>
<li><strong>OHS and Risk Management</strong> — supporting audits, registers and incident follow‑up</li>
<li><strong>VRQA and MACS Requirements</strong> — ensuring policies, procedures and evidence remain up to date</li>
<li><strong>Emergency Management</strong> — maintaining schedules, drills and documentation</li>
<li><strong>Policy Review and Record Keeping</strong> — coordinating updates and ensuring version control</li>
<li>Supporting whole‑school compliance culture through clear communication and well‑organised systems</li>
</ul>
<p>This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured work, has strong administrative skills, and takes pride in accuracy, clarity and consistency.</p>
<p><strong>Compliance Oversight</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Monitor and action Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) hazards, including isolating risks and coordinating repairs. </li>
<li>Manage the MACS Essential Safety Measures compliance portal, ensuring the school meets compliance requirements related to essential safety management including the coordination of essential audits </li>
<li>Conduct quarterly internal OHS risk assessments with school leadership. </li>
<li>Maintain electrical test & tag schedules and registers. </li>
<li>Maintain policy registers, safety reports, chemical registers and the school maintenance plan. </li>
<li>Participate in regular compliance meetings and relevant MACS professional learning. </li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Contractor & Maintenance Coordination</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Ensure all contractors are compliant prior to attending onsite. </li>
<li>Liaise with maintenance providers (builders, electricians, plumbers, arborists, pest control, etc.) where required </li>
<li>Maintain records of inspections and reports (e.g., arborist, termite, playground audits). </li>
<li>Maintain the school’s maintenance plan </li>
</ul>
<p><strong>General Administration</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Support front office operations, including answering phone calls, enquiries and first aid management </li>
</ul>

<p>Experience in school compliance, administration or risk management is desirable, but candidates with transferable skills are encouraged to apply.</p>
