This role will focus on providing students the skills and knowledge to understand the essential life skills that Geography can provide.</p> <p>Key priorities for the role include:</p> <ul> <li>Implementing the standards articulated in the Wenona Effective Teaching Cycle.</li> <li>Understanding contemporary teaching and learning pedagogies.</li> <li>Committing to the Pastoral Care and considering the social and emotional wellbeing needs of students.</li> <li>An understanding of and commitment to the educational needs of young women.</li> <li>A commitment to collaborative teaching practices and an ability to contribute to a team and faculty of professional educators.</li> <li>Utilising ICT to facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement beyond the classroom.</li> </ul> <p>We are seeking a teacher to fill a temporary, full-time position, commencing 31 August 2026 until 18 July 2027.</p> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>To be successful in this role, you will bring relevant experience in secondary school teaching and the Geography space. The role requires excellent communication skills, especially engaging with all stakeholders including students, parents and staff. You should also have the desire and passion to engage a variety of Geography students within the classroom.
