The Geelong College invites applications from passionate, experienced and innovative educators for the position of Teacher of English & Literacy Support (Years 7-8) in our Middle School. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic learning community committed to excellence in teaching, strong pastoral care, and a rich co-curricular program.</p>
<p>This successful applicant will teach Year 7 English, Year 7 & 8 Literacy Support, delivering engaging and contemporary learning experiences aligned with the Victorian Curriculum. The role also includes serving as a Learning Mentor, supporting the wellbeing and academic growth of a small group of Middle School students.</p>
<p>The successful applicant will contribute to the pastoral life of the College and actively support the Christian ethos of the School. </p>
<p><br><strong>Qualifications and Experience</strong></p>
<p>Applicants must demonstrate the following:</p>
<ul>
<li>Evidence of Right to Work in Australia</li>
<li>Relevant educational qualification and experience in a similar teaching role </li>
<li>Current Victorian Institute of Teachers (VIT) registration</li>
<li>Current Certifications in:
<ul>
<li>First Aid (HLTAID011)</li>
<li>CPR (HTLAID 009)</li>
<li>Asthma Management</li>
</ul></li>
<li>Completion of either:
<ul>
<li>The College's anaphylaxis training, or</li>
<li>Accredited course: 22578VIC - Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis </li>
</ul></li>
