This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting financial compliance and enhancing financial systems across our shared funded schools.</p> <p>Reporting to the Finance Manager: School Operations, the School Finance Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality financial and systems support to schools across Tasmania.</p> <p>You will provide expert guidance to school finance staff and leadership teams, ensuring effective financial practices, system compliance, and continuous improvement of financial systems. The role also plays a key part in supporting and enhancing Financial Management Systems (TechnologyOne and Compass), including user support, training, and system development initiatives.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide day-to-day (BAU) support for school finance systems, including helpdesk management and query resolution</li> <li>Support financial compliance processes including billing, debt management, and end-of-month/year reporting</li> <li>Deliver training and coaching to school staff in TechnologyOne and Compass</li> <li>Contribute to the development, testing, and rollout of new system modules and improvements</li> <li>Develop user guides, training resources, and support materials</li> <li>Conduct school visits to provide financial advice and support</li> <li>Identify and implement process improvements across financial operations</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>You are a proactive and confident professional who can work both autonomously and collaboratively in a complex environment.
