<p><strong>About the position</strong><br>
St Francis Xavier College is calling for a student-centred, dedicated, and courageous leaders to inspire student growth and achievement commencing in 2027 in the positions of Deputy Principal - Head of Campus. Positions available across all three campuses.</p>

The successful applicants will be appointed as a full-time, ongoing classroom teachers with a three-year tenure in the position of Deputy Principal – Head of Campus, commencing at the beginning of the 2027 school year. Subject to a positive mid-term performance review in 2028, the tenure may be extended for a further three years.</p>
<p>The Deputy Principal – Heads of Campus will be appointed in accordance with the DOSCEL Schools and Secretariat Agreement 2022, with remuneration set at Deputy Principal Level 4 (enrolment exceeding 2500 students). The role offers a gross annual salary ranging from $192,662 to $197,784, commensurate with experience.</p>
<p>The Deputy Principal – Head of Campus provides strong strategic and operational leadership, overseeing the daily management of the campus while fostering high expectations for student achievement, engagement, and wellbeing. The role ensures a safe, inclusive, and aspirational learning environment, while leading a pastoral culture grounded in the College’s Catholic identity and Gospel-centred values. Working closely with the Principal and Leadership Team, the Deputy Principal contributes to the College's strategy and ensures it's implemented at the campus level. Through visible, values-driven leadership, the role supports staff development and helps students grow into confident, capable, and socially responsible individuals.</p>
<p><strong>Professional Knowledge, Capabilities and Experience</strong><br>
The successful candidate will possess the following:</p>
<ul>
<li>Demonstrated commitment to the ethos, values, and mission of Catholic education, with a deep appreciation for Catholic education for young people and active participation in the life of the Catholic Church</li>
<li>Tertiary qualifications in Education, including Master’s or postgraduate qualifications in Education, Leadership, Religious Education or Theology (or working towards attainment), with evidence of continuous formal learning in a relevant field</li>
<li>Accreditation to Teach / Lead RE in a Catholic School</li>
<li>An awareness of and deep appreciation for a Catholic education for young people</li>
<li>Extensive experience leading contemporary learning and teaching practices in a secondary school</li>
<li>Highly developed capacity to research, analyse and interpret data to improve learning and teaching practices and student achievement</li>
<li>Demonstrated success in leading and influencing change across a variety of stakeholders, including staff, students, families and community</li>
<li>Advanced written and verbal communication skills and high-level interpersonal skills which establish productive relationships with staff, students, parents and the broader community</li>
<li>Strategic and forward-thinking approach to the position</li>
<li>Experience leading projects and managing resources</li>
</ul>
