We are looking at filling this role with a strong practitioner who can provide strategic leadership for curriculum coherence, pedagogical innovation, and professional learning, fostering inclusive, inquiry-based environments where learners develop agency, understanding, and a strong sense of responsibility for their learning.

<p><strong>Manager Curriculum</strong></p> <p><strong>Commencement:</strong> Immediate start&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Salary:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Context statement</strong></p> <p>Yipirinya School is an independent, Indigenous community school in Alice Springs catering for Indigenous students from the nearby community and outstations. The school has excellent, purpose-built classrooms, and support facilities for all teachers and staff. The school offers a two-way learning approach (bi-lingual &amp; bi-cultural) to education and language.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key duties and responsibilities</strong></p> <p>The initial key deliverables will involve:</p> <ul> <li>A curriculum audit.&nbsp;</li> <li>Aligning the school’s “two-way learning” approach to curriculum with the Australian Curriculum ( V9).</li> <li>Mapping the links between our On-Country learning and the Australian Curriculum.</li> <li>Working with staff to identify areas for strengthening and supporting their collective and collaborative teaching capabilities.</li> <li>Establishing a process for monitoring student progress&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Ongoing Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Designing and implementing curriculum for various grade levels and subject areas</li> <li>Collaborating with teachers and staff to ensure curriculum effectiveness</li> <li>Conduct a needs assessment and evaluation of learning outcomes</li> <li>Leading professional development sessions and training teachers on new curriculum development</li> <li>Managing projects related to curriculum development, including timelines, resources, and quality assurance.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Selection criteria</strong></p> <p>The person we are looking for will be a highly experienced, capable and thoughtful educator and leader who:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Believes in schools as a learning community&nbsp;</li> <li>Leads with integrity, empathy, and respect, building strong relationships across the school community</li> <li>Creates psychological safety, where teachers feel confident to take risks, reflect openly, and grow professionally&nbsp;</li> <li>Navigates complexity with care, adaptability, and sound judgment&nbsp;</li> <li>Is committed to inclusive, culturally responsive practices within and beyond the community&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrates a deep commitment to learner wellbeing, agency, and holistic development&nbsp;</li> <li>Engages with innovation—including AI—with a human-centered and ethical approach</li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, or a related field.</li> <li>4 + years in instructional design and curriculum development.</li> <li> <p>Strong communication, project management, and technology integration skills.&nbsp;</p> <p><i><strong>You are someone who sees the big picture but never loses sight of what matters most — the daily experiences of learners and teachers in classrooms.
