St Dominic's College is seeking a compassionate College Psychologist to join our team on a temporary basis. New graduates and provisional psychologists are welcome. Flexible days and hours available.

<p>St Dominic’s College is a Catholic school for boys in Years 7–12, conducted in the Edmund Rice tradition as part of Edmund Rice Education Australia. <p><strong>The Opportunity </strong></p>
<p>We are seeking a compassionate and skilled College Psychologist to join the College on a temporary part time basis, commencing as soon as possible through to the end of the 2026 College year. </p>
<p>Days and hours are negotiable and we welcome applications from candidates seeking part-time or flexible arrangements. </p>
<p>New graduate psychologists, provisional psychologists completing their internship, and fully qualified applicants are all encouraged to apply. The College will provide a supportive environment and appropriate supervision arrangements where required. </p>

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Provide individual psychological assessment, counselling and intervention support to students. </li>
<li>Collaborate with College Leadership Team, Pastoral Coordinators, teaching staff, and families to develop and implement student support plans. </li>
<li>Contribute to the College’s pastoral care framework and whole-school wellbeing initiatives. </li>
<li>Maintain accurate, confidential and compliant case records and documentation. </li>
<li>Liaise with external agencies, health professionals and community services as appropriate. </li>
<li>Support staff with strategies to meet the diverse psychological and learning needs of students. </li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Essential Criteria </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Tertiary qualifications in Psychology (graduate, provisional or fully registered applicants welcome). </li>
<li>Current registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA), or eligibility for provisional registration. </li>
<li>Demonstrated or developing experience in counselling, assessment or support of young people. </li>
<li>Sound understanding of adolescent development and the psychological needs of young men. </li>
<li>Commitment to the values of Catholic education and the ethos of an Edmund Rice school. </li>
<li>High level of interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills. </li>
<li>Ability to maintain professional boundaries and manage confidential information with integrity. </li>
<li>Current Working With Children Check and understanding of professional child safeguarding responsibilities. </li>

<p>Support Staff at St Dominic’s College are employed under the NSW Catholic Independent Schools (Support Staff – Model B) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2023. </p>
