St Francis Catholic College is a K-12 Diocesan College in the Edmund Rice Tradition located at Edmondson Park. In 2025 (its 9th year), it has an enrolment of approx. 1630 students.

<p><strong>Location:</strong> St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park</p> <p><i>St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park is located near the junction of the M5 and M7 motorways. It is a rapidly growing K-12 school with a student population exceeding 1630 students in 2026. The college is one school, not a traditional primary school and high school coexisting on the same site.&nbsp; As such, the College is organised into Junior Years Learning (K-4), Middle Years Learning (5-8), and Senior Years Learning (9-12).&nbsp; St Francis was founded in 2017 and offers new, state-of-the-art learning &amp; specialist KLA facilitie</i>s.</p> <p>A temporary part time position commencing ASAP until 17 December 2026. The successful applicant will be required to work Thursday and Friday with one additional day to be negotiated.&nbsp;</p> <p>The successful applicant will support teachers to meet the needs of diverse learners in a mainstream and specialist settings by designing educational/pastoral interventions for students with additional needs.&nbsp;</p> <p>The role supports the student wellbeing, teaching as required and duties as directed by the Principal. The role of the Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.</li> <li>Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.</li> <li>Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.</li> <li>Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in KLA(s).</li> <li>Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.</li> <li>Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.</li> </ul> <p>DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA:</p> <ul> <li>Experience adjusting class work and assessment activities for students with disabilities.</li> <li>Experience leading meetings with parents and carers to support student learning.</li> <li>Have Special education qualification and/or experience teaching in a specialised setting.&nbsp;</li> <li>Have experience in developing effective relationships with parents/carers and external agencies in order to develop personalised learning plans for students with disability.&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrate an understanding of the Disability Standards for Education (DSE) 2005 and the processes integral to the annual Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD).</li> </ul> <p>GENERAL CAPABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Well-developed interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Well-developed oral and written communication skills.</li> <li>Strong organisational skills.</li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li> </ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Appropriate qualifications for teaching.&nbsp;</li> <li>Have Special education qualification and/or experience teaching in a specialised setting or a commitment to gaining qualifications in Special Education.</li> <li>Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.</li> <li>The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.</li> </ul> <p>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p> <p>This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.</p> <p>POSITION APPLICATION&nbsp;</p> <p>Applicants are to complete an online application which asks to briefly address the essential criteria (equivalent to 2-3 pages) and submit a short CV (2-3 pages).</p> <p>To submit your Application please select the 'Apply Now' button at the bottom of this advertisement.</p> <p><strong>Closing date: 17 May 2026 at 11.55pm</strong></p>
