<p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p>
<p>We are seeking a motivated and capable TAS Teacher to join our team on a temporary basis, commencing as soon as possible through to the end of the 2026 College year. The successful applicant may be required to teach across TAS subject areas including Technology Mandatory, Industrial Technology, and Design & Technology, depending on timetabling requirements.</p>

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Deliver engaging and effective TAS lessons in line with NESA syllabus requirements and College curriculum expectations.</li>
<li>Create a positive, inclusive and respectful learning environment that supports student engagement and wellbeing.</li>
<li>Manage classroom and workshop behaviour effectively and in accordance with College policies and WHS requirements.</li>
<li>Assess student progress and provide timely, meaningful feedback.</li>
<li>Maintain a safe and well-organised practical learning environment.</li>
<li>Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the broader school community.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>NESA accreditation (or conditional accreditation) as a Secondary Teacher with a TAS teaching area.</li>
<li>Approval to teach in NSW or eligibility to obtain it.</li>
<li>Demonstrated or developing excellence in classroom and practical teaching.</li>
<li>Sound understanding of Catholic education and commitment to the ethos of an Edmund Rice school.</li>
<li>Effective classroom management and student engagement skills.</li>
<li>Proficiency in ICT and the ability to work in a contemporary blended learning environment.</li>
<li>Understanding of the pastoral care needs of adolescent boys.</li>
<li>Ability to differentiate learning to meet diverse student needs.</li>
<li>Current Working With Children Check and understanding of professional child safeguarding responsibilities.</li>

<p>Teachers at St Dominic’s College are employed under the NSW Catholic Independent Schools (Teachers – Model B) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2023.</p>
