<p>We are seeking a passionate and committed <strong>Visual Arts Teacher</strong> to join St Patrick’s College, Strathfield to cover a parental leave contract from Monday 20 July 2026 until Friday 25 June 2027 (End of Term 2). This is a Temporary Full-time position. Working during term time only, this role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a hands‑on, student‑centred environment and is committed to supporting high‑quality practical learning.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Deliver high quality Visual Arts teaching and learning programs from Stage 3 to Stage 5&nbsp;</li> <li>Teach Photographic and Digital Media where required&nbsp;</li> <li>Create engaging, inclusive, and differentiated learning experiences&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintain a safe, positive, and well managed classroom environment&nbsp;</li> <li>Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Visual Arts faculty and across the College&nbsp;</li> <li>Contribute to assessment design, marking, and reporting&nbsp;</li> <li>Participate in the College’s Co‑Curricular program&nbsp;</li> <li>Uphold the Catholic ethos and values of a school in the Edmund Rice tradition&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>You are committed to excellence as a classroom practitioner.&nbsp;</li> <li>You are Passionate about engaging all students, and confident in effective pedagogy and classroom management.&nbsp;</li> <li>You are a strong collaborator who thrives in a supportive team environment and is eager to contribute to the creative life of the College.&nbsp;</li> <li>You bring a reflective, growth-oriented mindset to your teaching practice&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>A working understanding of, and commitment to, the Catholic ethos of a school in the Edmund Rice tradition&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrated understanding of appropriate professional boundaries and child safeguarding practices&nbsp;</li> <li>Qualifications to teach Visual Arts, ideally with experience in Photographic and Digital Media (Stage 5–6)&nbsp;</li> <li>NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW&nbsp;</li> <li>Commitment to excellence in teaching practice and ongoing professional growth&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to cater for diverse learning needs through effective differentiation&nbsp;</li> <li>Valid Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Join Us</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>St Patricks College is a Catholic school for boys in the Edmund Rice tradition, educating over 1,630 students from Years 5 to 12.
