We value inclusive, future focused learning that supports every student to achieve personal success.</p> <p>We are seeking a passionate and student centred teacher to deliver VCE Vocational Major (VM) subjects, specifically Personal Development Skills (PDS) and Work Related Skills (WRS).</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>The successful applicant will play a key role in supporting students undertaking the Vocational Major pathway, focusing on personal growth, employability skills, workplace readiness, and community engagement.</p> <p>This role is ideal for an educator who:<br> •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Builds strong, respectful relationships with young people<br> •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Values applied, project based and experiential learning<br> •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Is committed to student wellbeing, engagement, and diverse learning pathways</p> <p><br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Plan and deliver engaging learning programs aligned to the VCE Vocational Major Personal Development Skills and Work Related Skills Study Designs<br> •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Support students to develop employability skills, self‑awareness, collaboration, and independence<br> •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Integrate literacy, numeracy, and workplace learning skills within classroom practice<br> •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Monitor, assess, and report on student progress in accordance with VCAA requirements<br> •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Work collaboratively with colleagues, wellbeing staff, and external partners<br> •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Contribute positively to the mission and life of the College</p> <p><strong>Who We’re Looking For</strong></p> <p>The successful applicant will demonstrate:<br> •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Current VIT registration<br> •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Appropriate teaching qualifications<br> •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Experience or strong interest in VCE Vocational Major, VCAL, applied learning, or alternative pathways education<br> •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Strong classroom management and relational skills<br> •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;A commitment to Catholic education and the values of Catherine McAuley College<br> •&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School (or a willingness to obtain)</p> <p><br><strong>About Catherine McAuley College Bendigo</strong></p> <p>Catherine McAuley College Bendigo is a co educational Catholic secondary school for Years 7–12 and a member of Mercy Education Limited.
