You’ll play a vital role in using a holistic approach that supports the spiritual, cultural, and educational growth of your students, fostering their wellbeing, development, and success both in and out of the classroom. When you join the Shalom staff, you join a greater family committed to making a real difference in the lives of our First Nations people.<br><br><strong>Your day-to-day will involve:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Creating a safe, inclusive, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive learning environment</li> <li>Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum that support students’ learning and personal growth</li> <li>Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback</li> <li>Build strong, respectful relationships with students, families, and staff by demonstrating unconditional positive regard and consistent role modelling.</li> <li>Collaborate across teams by participating in planning, debrief sessions, and school wide activities such as excursions, camps, and assemblies.</li> <li>Maintain accurate records and reporting, including student assessments, attendance, behaviour incidents, and learning outcomes.</li> <li>Uphold safety, child protection, and Christian values, ensuring a calm, secure school environment in line with organisational ethos and policies.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About you:</strong><br> You may be a primary teacher or a specialist in any of these disciplines:&nbsp;music, art, drama, HPE science or STEM. We are looking for the right teacher to build strong, respectful relationships with everyone in our school community, from students and teachers to families and support staff.
