Exciting opportunity for an experienced educational leader to join our Senior Leadership team as Deputy Head of Senior School, Woodlea Campus.

<p>Bacchus Marsh Grammar is seeking an experienced and committed educational leader to join our Senior School leadership team as Deputy Head of Senior School.</p> <p>This is a pivotal leadership position responsible for guiding the academic, pastoral, and operational excellence of Years 9–12. Working closely with the Assistant Principal and Head of Senior School, the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the student journey, driving innovation in teaching and learning, and fostering a culture of high expectations, care, and continuous improvement.</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>The Deputy Head of Senior School (Woodlea Campus) provides strategic and operational leadership across all aspects of the Senior School. This includes curriculum oversight, student learning and wellbeing, staff development, and ensuring compliance with relevant educational frameworks.</p> <p>The successful applicant will commence in Semester 2, 2026 or Semester 1, 2027 dependent on the availability of the successful applicant.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead best practice in teaching, learning, and assessment across Years 9–12</li> <li>Drive curriculum innovation and continuous improvement in student outcomes</li> <li>Oversee compliance with VCAA, VCE, and VASS requirements</li> <li>Contribute to whole-school strategic planning and policy development</li> <li>Oversee subject selection, timetabling, and academic progress</li> <li>Support students in making informed pathway decisions</li> <li>Analyse academic data to guide interventions and maximise student success</li> <li>Collaborate with staff and families to support learning outcomes</li> <li>Lead student wellbeing, behaviour management, and pastoral care frameworks</li> <li>Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment</li> <li>Manage complex student matters in partnership with key stakeholders</li> <li>Liaise with Student Services and external professionals where required</li> <li>Oversee Senior School operations, events, and co-curricular programs</li> <li>Contribute to enrolment processes, including interviews</li> <li>Represent the School within the broader community and professional networks</li> <li>Support transition and orientation programs for students</li> <li>Actively contribute to the School’s Leadership Team</li> <li>Participate in critical incident and emergency management</li> <li>·Ensure compliance with child safety, legal, and regulatory requirements</li> </ul> <p><strong>About Baccus Marsh Grammar</strong></p> <p>Bacchus Marsh Grammar is an independent, co-educational non-denominational, Prep Reception to Year 12 School with three vibrant campuses in Melbourne’s west.
