The College is seeking a highly experienced and confident Senior Science Teacher to join our team for a full-time contract position commencing Term 3.
<p><strong>About the role:</strong></p>
<p>We are seeking a highly experienced and confident Senior Science Teacher, with a strong background and experience in Stage 2 Chemistry, to join our team for a full-time contract position commencing Term 3 through to the end of Term 4, with the possibility of extension.</p>
<p>The key responsibilities are to:</p>
<ul>
<li>Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and rigorous Science lessons, including a Stage 2 Chemistry teaching allocation</li>
<li>Assess, monitor and report on student progress in line with SACE requirements</li>
<li>Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners</li>
<li>Contribute to curriculum development and collaborative planning within the Science team</li>
<li>Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student wellbeing</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>About you:</strong></p>
<p>As the successful candidate, you will hold:</p>
<ul>
<li>A current South Australian Teacher Registration. </li>
<li>Proven experience teaching Stage 2 Chemistry, with the capability and confidence to take full responsibility for a Stage 2 Chemistry class (essential)</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of the SACE curriculum and assessment requirements</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate senior students</li>
<li>Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment</li>
<li>The ability to build strong, respectful relationships with students, parents, and staff.</li>
<li>Current WWCC, RRHAN-EC Fundamentals & Masterclass certification, and First Aid in an education setting.</li>
