<p>St Paul’s Catholic School is a school in Bridgewater, Tasmania, Australia, offering education from Kindergarten to Grade 6. Founded in 1984 by the Sisters of Mercy and Christian Brothers, the school emphasizes a caring and supportive environment for students and families, fostering their holistic development.</p>
<p>We are seeking a dedicated and skilled <strong>Utility Officer</strong> to join our team and help maintain a safe, welcoming, and well‑functioning school environment that supports high‑quality learning for all students.</p>
<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p>
<p>The Utility Officer plays a vital role in ensuring our school grounds, buildings, and facilities are clean, safe, and well maintained. This position requires a hands‑on, proactive individual with trade-level skills who can coordinate maintenance tasks, supervise others, and respond effectively to daily operational needs.</p>
<p>The successful applicant will support the Catholic Identity and Evangelising Mission of the school and work collaboratively with staff, contractors, volunteers, and the broader school community.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities include:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Coordinating daily building and grounds maintenance, including cleaning tasks, rubbish removal, and minor repairs.</li>
<li>Overseeing turf care, playground upkeep, and replenishment of soft fall.</li>
<li>Planning and undertaking specialised maintenance tasks and small building projects.</li>
<li>Maintaining tools, equipment, and chemical storage in line with safety standards.</li>
<li>Setting up furniture and equipment for school events and sporting activities.</li>
<li>Managing daily security routines, including unlocking/locking buildings.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Required Skills, Experience and Attributes</strong></p>
<p>We are looking for someone who can:</p>

<p><strong>Qualifications & Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Valid Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP).</li>
<li>Current and satisfactory National Police Criminal History Check.</li>
<li>Current Tasmanian driver’s licence.</li>
<li>Trade Certificate or Certificate III (or relevant experience).</li>
